I got a divorce a year ago. I'm a teacher at a Highschool. I have a 3 year old son. Everyone apologized saying that they're sorry about my divorce, but the truth is, we broke up cause I'm gay.
There's a new teacher, an English teacher, and he's hot. Hot as hell actually. I was sitting in the teachers lounge, looking over my paperwork that I had to give to my students, when he walked in. It's the first day of school, and he looks more lost that the freshmen. "Hey!" I nodded at him. "Y'okay?" I asked.
"Um. I think so. Yeah. Uh, this is where we can just like...Relax and uh, get our shit-I-I mean stuff together. Right?" He chuckled.
"Yep. You got it." I smiled. "I'm Winchester. Dean Winchester." I stood up and walked over to him.
"Oh well. Uh, it's nice to meet you." He pushed his glasses up on his nose, then shook my hand. he fixed his stuff then looked at me.
I smiled. "Know where you're headed?" I asked.
"Um. My class is uh." He chuckled awkwardly. "268" He said.
"What a coincidence, mine is 267." I smiled at him. "Let's walk." I added.
"What do you teach?" He asked me.
"Geography." I said, walking beside him. "You're English, right? Castiel Novak? I'm assuming. You're new." I smiled.
"Yeah." He smiled at me. "how long have you been a teacher here?" he asked me.
"3 years." I said, nodding.
"Wow. I just got out of school last year." He chuckled.
"So you're 25?" I said. To which he nodded.
"I was 25 when I got divorced." I nodded.
"Oh I'm sorry." He frowned.
"oh no. it was mostly my choice." I said. "It's been a year and I'm happier than I ever was with that person." I said. "Here's your class." I said. "I'm right across the hall if you need anything."
He nodded. " So, what happened? Like why did you want to get a divorce?" He asked me.
I grinned. "We'll talk later. Have a good first period." I smiled. I went into my classroom and sighed. He's really cute.
When my students walked in I smiled. I talked about myself mostly the whole time. How i got divorced, though I didn't say why. I said that I had a 3 year old son. We had shared custody but I had him most of the time. I mentioned that I have a younger brother, that I love dearly. That I love what I do. Stuff like that.
"Alright. Class is almost over gang. How many of you have English with mister Novak?" I asked. A few of my students raised there hands. I nodded. "Be nice to him. He's brand new." I grinned. "I mean it. No funny business over there." I chuckled.
"sir?" Someone lifted their hand.
"yeah?" I looked at him. I didn't even wanna try with his name I wouldn't remember it right away.
"What's your sons name?" He smiled at me.
"Adam." I smiled.
"Would you bring him to school one day? I love kids." The guy smiled.
"Sure. Maybe later in the year," I looked around. Some of my students were on their phones. "Oh yes. Cellphones." I crossed my arms. I laughed when a few of my students immediately dropped their phones on their desk. "I won't confiscate them. If you want to be on it and miss what we learnt, go ahead. It's not my education, it's yours. I, personally, have my cellphone in my pocket. It's on loud, in case of emergency with my son. That's the only reason I have it. My job is to teach you. I won't be texting during your class. I expect the same respect, though if you are on it, just know it won't be easy to catch up." I said. And just as I said that the bell rang. "Have a great day." I said.
As the students filed out of my classroom I looked across the hall it him. He still looked shaken. I walked out after the last student of my class left, then walked across the hall. "And? How was your first period?" I smiled.
"it went really well! I was kinda nervous but turns out I didn't have to be. my students are very kind." He smiled.
"That's good to hear." I nodded. "So after third period it's lunch. Wanna go grab a bite with me?" I rubbed the back of my head. "It's cool if you don't." I chuckled.
"No. I'd love to. Thank you" he nodded.
I smiled. "Okay. See ya later."
