A week went by. I had gone back to work, but i only sat in my classroom. I tought my lessons but i didn't enjoy going to the teachers lounge. I've never been good at making friends, and Dean was my only reason for going there. But he's still in the hospital. When i came back to work the few days after the accident, people figured out that Dean and I were together. Especially since most of them went to the hospital while i was there, taking care of his child and holding his hand.
I was in the hospital with Anna today, nobody from work came to visit Dean...yet.
"Caths, will daddy wake up soon?" Anna asked me, hugging me tightly.
"I hope so, angel." I kissed the top of her head.
Today she just wanted her hair down, but it kept getting in her face.It has gotten really long. But she liked when i did her hair. "You hold daddy's hand, i'll put your hair into braids, okay sweetie?" I said.
"'kay," She sat on my lap properly and took Deans hand.
I combed my fingers through her hair. "Tell daddy about your day. He won't answer but he can still hear you." I said, so she started talking about her day. I put her hair in 2 braids, then kissed her cheek.
One of our co-workers dropped by. "Oh, hello Castiel." She said. I think she was the drama teacher. She's an older woman.
"Hi" I nodded. She dropped some flowers off.
"Are you just watching his child or..." she asked.
"No. i'm his boyfriend." I said, looking at my Deans beautiful face. I've had to say that to every one of our co-workers that have come by.
"Oh i didn't know he was gay." She said.
"Yep." I said.
She put her hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, he'll be okay. Stay strong in there, kid." She gave my a warm smile.
I smiled. "Thank you." I said.
"can we go home?" Anna yawned. It's been such a long day for her.
"Soon sweetie, are you hungry? I can buy you something to eat." i said quietly.
"Yeah!" She nodded. I took her hand and we headed down to the cafeteria. I got her a sandwich and drink then we headed back up. I was exhausted. Maybe we'll go say bye to Dean and go home.
When we got back to the room Sam was here. "uncle Sammy!" Anna ran over to him.
"Hi sweetie!" He smiled, picking her up.
"Hey Sam." I said.
"Hey, i was just stopping in to see how he's doing." He sighed.
"Same old same old." I chuckled, sitting in the bed, taking his hand in mine. "He should be awake soon.. right?" I said, my eyes welling up again.
"Of course. And he will, definitely." Sam put his hand against my shoulder.
I nodded, sniffling.
"Caths want a hug?" Anna said.
"Id love one." I whispered, smiling when she wiggles out of Sam's arms and climbed onto me, hugging me with all her might.
"Thanks angel." i kissed her cheek.
she went back to Sam's arms.
"Do you want me to take her tonight? You can stay here longer." He said.
"Would you?" I asked.
"Of course. Wanna have a sleepover?" He asked her.She nodded quickly. He nodded.
"Go give your dad a kiss before we leave" He said to her.
"Wait to daddy or caths?" She asked. My heart almost melted.
"Both." I smiled, so she crawled up on me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
Then she carefully kissed deans cheek and they both left.
i smiled slightly and turned to look at him, "Did you hear that?" I whispered. "She thinks i'm her dad too," i sniffled. "Im not 100% sure how to do this parenting thing but i'm trying and i guess it's working." I said quietly.
I stayed quiet, sitting beside him. "I miss your voice." I whispered, squeezing his hand, i sat back down in the chair, still holding his hand. "i miss your laugh." I said, rubbing my thumb against his knuckles. "I miss your smile." I whispered. "i miss your stupid and crude jokes." I chuckled. "I miss my Dean." I said, laying my head down against the bed. "I need you." I said. He did the fingers tightening around my hand thing again. I smiled and kissed his knuckles. "I love you" I whispered.
I felt my eyes getting heavy, but i didn't wanna leave, so i got comfortable in the chair. Ill leave when i'm tired. i kissed his hand.
I didn't expect to fall asleep, but i did. However i woke up to fingers playing in my hair. The sun was out, it must be the next day. I slept like that all night? Wait! My eyes shot open. "Dean?" I gasped.
"Hey." He croaked.
"Dean!" I practically screamed. "Oh you're awake." I put my hands against his cheek. "You're awake." I started to cry. "Are you okay? should i call the nurse or has she already been in. Oh i have to call Sam." I wiped my eyes.
"Cas." He reached out to me. "shh. I'm fine. I'm here. I heard everything while i was out. It's okay." he said. "help me sit up." he asked, so i helped him, very carefully.
"You heard everything?" I said, wiping my eyes.
He nodded. "Everything. I love you too." He said to me.

This was supposed to go before he last chapter, so i unpublished the other one. Sorry! I'll post it again later.
