Chapter 1

Noah Roberts was a fairly fit boy with his gorgeous golden hair and deep green eyes; he is seventeen at the moment and his looks were good for show. He was completely aware that walking into a bar underage was illegal; not that it stopped him and his friend Samuel. Sam had friends, and his friends were somehow good at fake ID’s.

Lying to his grandmother had been hard on Noah; he loved his grandma; even though he knew barely anything about her. He knew he should know a lot about her, considering he has been living with her for five years now; now that his parents were dead she was all he had left. And still, just like with his parents, there was so much about her he didn’t know. It made it very hard to trust her, and tell her his secrets; why should he tell if she wouldn’t? Talk about unfair.

Walking into the bar tonight for Sam’s birthday was quite unexpected; Sam had never been the type for girlfriends and alcohol. But lately Sam had taken an interest; and this made Noah a bit protective and worried about him.

As they approached the bar no one came to ask for an ID, which wasn’t all that surprising; they both had already formed into bright young men. They took their seats at the bar and Sam ordered two beers. Soon enough they had arrived, Sam and Noah took their first sips.

“My grandma will kill me if she knew I came here” Noah sighed.

“Dude! Did you even tell her you were leaving the house?” Sam asked.

“Of course I did, she’s like a bloody ninja. Seriously, she has her little spies everywhere; those men in black that follow me all the time. I asked her about it the other night and she told me not to go near them or even look at them, that they are just doing their job” Noah sneered.

Sam just screwed up his face as he processed what Noah was saying, “That’s some weird bullshit, man”

“Tell me about it” Noah sighed.

“So, off the topic; I’m seventeen and I would love to have a fantastic night” Sam grinned, “I’d also like to score myself a girlfriend”

“A one night stand, don’t you mean?” Noah corrected- looking down at his drink.

Suddenly Sam stuck out a fist and jabbed Noah in the arm, where he clutched it in surprise, “What the hell was that for?” Noah blurted.

“I am not an unthoughtful asshole. I would merely just like to get a girl to be interested in me, even if it’s just for one night” Sam stated.

“You do realise that if you want a caring girlfriend, a bar isn’t the best place to start?” Noah stated.

Sam shot him a glare, “I guess you have a point, I was here last night too and the action was awesome. I was just checking the place out; turns out I came in at the right time” He grinned.

“I don’t think I want to know about bar fights” Noah sighed.

“Not even if it was the girl who“

“Sam” Noah warned, “We came here for your birthday, not to sit back in chairs with 3D glasses and popcorn while watching a fight”

“That wasn’t my intention but if you brought popcorn and 3D glasses I’m all in” Sam joked.

Noah couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head at this. That was before he felt a strong presence, it felt like the whole world was going slow, and Noah felt suddenly warm and tingly. He couldn’t help it as his body took over and turned him to look at the girl who had just entered the door.

She stood there for a second before proceeding on. She had black jeans on covered up to the knees by black leather combat boots. She wore a black singlet under her brown leather jacket- which was the only colour other than black on her. Her long brown hair fell down to her ribs- the tips of her elbows- and her eyes were as blue as the ocean. Her skin was partially tanned and held a glowing satisfaction about it; her lips were pink against her skin, her nose a perfect shape. She looked like an angel.
