Chapter 4

Macey walked into Noah’s room at 7am, without knocking. Although, now that she had shut the door and was staring down at his sleep form; she was glad she hadn’t. He looked so beautiful with his blonde hair just reaching his eyes. He didn’t have a shirt on which showed of his muscles and gave him that sexy look; in sleep, that's impressive for a guy.

Macey didn’t know why, but she had the urge to slide under the covers with him and wrap her arms around his bare chest. These thoughts scared her. It had been almost eight months since Mathew had died, and still she felt like she owed him her heart for eternity. She knew she should move on- part of her knew she had already- but she was too scared to let go and forget.

With a sigh she stepped forward and was just about to tap his shoulder when she remembered a way Mathew used to wake her up. Although it had pissed her off every time, she had always smiled at him.

So with a grin she pounced on top of Noah; he immediately bolted awake and looked up at her with a snarl. But in seconds a grin escaped his lips and he looked up at her lazily, “What on earth are you doing?” He asked.

“Funny you say that” She grinned, “Because today we will be off that radar”

Noah looked at her in shock; what did she mean by that? “What do you mean by that?” He asked.

“You’ll see” She grinned as she stood up and picked is shirt from the ground, she turned and through it at him.

She stood there and watched as he stretched it over his head; his muscles flexing. He noticed her glare and winked, which she returned with a sneer.

Soon enough, they made their way out the door and she led him towards the Gateway room- knowing that Callie, Michael and Codie would be waiting there. As she opened the door, she noticed Noah tense; maybe his angel instincts were stronger than she had given him credit for.

She giggled and laced her fingers through his, knowing that he wouldn’t be strong enough to do this alone the first few times. As Macey had thought; Michael, Callie and Codie were waiting by the corner. Michael nodded at me as he looked back at the large mirror- the only thing in the large room- and tossed an ancient gold coin through it. It shimmered and floated there before an invisible force pulled it through- the coin disappearing. Then with a gash of wind, the whole mirror shimmered like water reflecting the sun.

“Ahh, the angel’s portal” Callie smiled as she held her hand out towards it. The portal acted on instinct and golden water floated to the tips of her fingers.

“What the-“

“No question” Macey demanded to Noah, “Your answers are in that” she stated- pointing at the portal.

He sighed and looked back at it, it took him a few seconds but eventually he stepped forward with a smile- pulling Macey along with him.

Noah wasn’t trusting this day so far. He had awoken to Macey sitting on top of him, and instead of snarling, he smiled; he couldn’t help it, the gesture was just funny. Now he about to step into a portal to God knows where while holding the hand of the girl he may possibly like. He figured it was about time that he admitted to defeat and just took on his feelings toward her, but things aren’t so easy.

He wanted to brave, so he pulled her along with him as he stepped closer to the shimmering water-mirror (or whatever you want to call it). He took one last breath and pulled himself and Macey completely into the water. He felt pressure all around him and he bit back a scream, but a moan still escaped his lips.

It was like they were floating in mid-air, Noah felt light headed as Macey tightened her grip on his hand. He tightened it back and couldn’t help but moan again as things started to blur around him. Only, it was more like he was travelling extremely fast through time. He moaned as the pressure around him tightened- it was like he was being forced out of his own skin. His vision started to turn black at the edges, and he tried hard to fight it off but it was gaining on him.
