Chapter 7
Michael was just walking into the lounge room as Noah began to glow in his arms. “What the?” He exclaimed as he rushed to place the boy down on the floor.
As soon as Noah was on the floor; he was beginning to glow brightly. Michael stumbled backwards and almost tripped as everyone gasped.
“What’s happening to him?” Macey frowned.
“Maybe he’s a healer?” James offered as he returned with the supplies.
“But how can that be if he is a mind-speaker as well?” Michael asked- confused.
“I don’t know. We’ll work around it” Callie stated as she kneeled beside Noah and ushered James over. James frowned and dropped to his knees on the other side of Noah. He took out the supplies he needed, and soon enough; they had the cream and the special dagger they needed to perform the ritual.
“Okay, if a few of you may keep passing him energy; not until you hear him scream the first time.”
“What do you mean ‘the first time’?” Macey frowned as she grabbed Noah’s hand tightly.
“He will feel all the pain, my dear, so if he has more contact of life then he should feel more comfort” James explained as everyone else began to kneel and place a hand on Noah’s legs or arms.
Beautiful white wings erupted from James’s back as he placed the blade in front of him. He covered the dagger in cream and began to sway it over Noah’s body. “Huc omnis redirectionis ad inferos relinquite purus innocens” James chanted in Latin. He sighed when nothing happened, and so he tried again. When Noah screamed, he continued on; getting more confident that it was working as Noah began to shiver and become sweaty.
Every angel in the room had their wings displayed as they fed Noah life; so he could handle the pain. So far it was working, so James continued his chant as the blade began to smoke, “huc omnis redirectionis ad inferos relinquite purus innocens”
When Noah finally went limp; James stopped and placed the sizzling knife on the floor.
“What were you saying?” Macey asked.
“Redirect all evil here, to the depths of hell, and leave pure the innocent. It’s Latin; one of the few languages of angels” James explained.
“Shouldn’t you be chanting in Greek? It’s the first language known to angels, it’s more sacred; and I know Greek better. I have never had it easy with Latin” Macey frowned.
“Well, at the start there was Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, but Latin was brought in as an easier and more modern language. Anyways, let’s not dwell on the subject, aye. The boy must sleep now; we must keep him warm. I’ll go get a wet cloth” James offered.
“Nope, I’ll get it” Coda smiled as he walked away.
