A/N
So I know I said I'd update last sunday, but I've had exams last week, and I needed to focus on studying.
I didn't have the chapter ready, so I just didn't bother writing one until this week. May be a little rushed because I have like five assessments to do, yay me, right? Hah.
I hope you can understand the stress of exams, but now that it's over; here is your chapter.
Do enjoy.
Love A.
Chapter 22
It wasn’t long before Michael returned to the coven with a sleeping Macey in his arms. Her face was buried into his chest, her hair falling down and tickling his arms. Her hands were scrunched up in his tear-stained shirt; but he didn’t care.
Michael was reluctant to let her go, but he knew that as soon as he made it to her room, he would be placing her in her bed where she would be safe.
Everyone seemed to relax as they saw Macey was safe, but no one dared to speak. There was tension in the air, all because of Macey’s new found destiny. Michael didn’t like to think about it, because he knew that here fate would catch up with her sooner or later; he didn’t want her to die.
Michael made it to Macey’s room and lay her down in her bed. He took off her shoes and pulled the covers over her before kissing her forehead. “I love you Mace, don’t you ever forget that we love you” he whispered before sitting in the armchair on the other side of the room.
Michael began to doze off, but when the door squeaked open, he jerked awake and rubbed his eyes. He watched as Callie walked over to Macey and stroked her cheek. “How is she?” Callie asked.
“Not good, Cal” he sighed, running his hand over his face, “not good”
“Is she- ahh- is she-“
“Is she mad at us?” Michael asked, looking into his wife’s eyes, when Callie nodded he continued, “No, she’s scared Cal, she’s just scared”
Callie nodded and sighed before walking over to Michael and sitting on his lap, leaning her head on his shoulder as his arms went around her instantly. “It’ll be okay, love” she whispered, “It’ll be okay”
“How do you know? It feels like I’m losing a sister” Michael whimpered. Callie pulled away from him and cupped his face in her hands, wiping away the few tears that had fallen from his eyes.
“Macey is strong. You are strong. We can get through this, if we stick together” Callie smiled, leaning her forehead against his and looking in her eyes. “I believe in you, and I believe in us. No matter what happens, Hun, we have each other. I love you so much, and I know you can get through this. Macey is important to all of us; we’re like one big family. We’re all going to be hurt, you the most. But you’ll have me, I’ll be here. And so will our child”
