Chapter 11

Noah sat outside of the coven, leaning against a tree as he breathed in the fresh air. He knew the back of the coven was surrounded by woods; the grass was green, the trees were swaying and the sun was out- bright and warm as ever. Noah knew he shouldn’t be out here by himself, but he just needed some air.

Yeah, he was very aware of the cut on his head; but that could wait. He needed to calm himself down after what had just happened. He leaned his head back and shut his eyes as he sighed. How the hell was he meant to be some saviour if he kept on stuffing things up?

It sure did make him wonder. And soon enough; he had fallen asleep.

Callie looked through the whole house for Noah; but he was nowhere. This actually had her getting worried. Maybe he went outside? Oh shit... he could be unconscious on the ground!

Callie ran outside, and as she passed James and Gloria; they followed, wondering what was going on.

When they all made it outside, Callie noticed Noah straight away. So she ran straight towards him; he was leaning against a tree, with his eyes closed. Shit; panic alert! Callie dropped to her knees beside him and started shaking him as she cursed her stupid self for letting him walk out in the first place. Because- ahh- blood loss; hello! Pay attention.

However, when he stirred and opened his eyes; she let out a sigh. “Oh my gosh, you scared the crap out of me! Again!” Callie frowned.

Noah just looked at her confused; he wasn’t sure what she was talking about. But after a few seconds, he looked at Gloria, and he remembered. “Shit” he muttered, “Gloria, I’m so sorry! My stupid head” He frowned.

She gave him a sincere smile, “It’s okay. It’s not your fault”

“But I-“

“Noah” Callie warned, “What were you thinking coming out here by yourself?”

“Oh I’m sorry, I would have called you if a leaf fell on my head” Noah said- his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Callie did nothing but shake her head at that comment. “How about we have our healing lesson for the day?” Callie asked- I mean; this could actually work. Callie could teach Noah how to heal himself for their daily lesson and at the same she will have fixed the cut on his head without him being stubborn about it; it was a win/win situation.

Noah looked at Callie flabbergasted; did she just seriously ask him if he wanted to have their healing lesson…. Now? “Did you just ask me if I want to have our lesson, now?” Noah asked.

“Yeah, besides; you will learn and fix your head at the same time” Callie stated.

Huh, well that isn’t a bad idea- Noah thought. “Okay” Noah sighed.

Callie ushered James and Gloria to leave them in peace, and as soon as they left, she got back to Noah. “Now then, Noah, to master healing you need to let yourself go. You have to block out any emotion and focus on that one thing; now what is your one thing?” Callie asked.

“My head. Wait, it is my head right?” Noah asked- confused. Well der Noah- he thought to himself- if it isn’t your head, then what is it? Your broken ego? Doubtful; that failed years ago….

“Exactly” Callie smiled, “Now I need you to shut your eyes and find a bright light. Once you are confident that you have a hold on that bright light; open your eyes again. Do not lose concentration”

Noah took deep breaths and closed his eyes as he leaned away from the tree, sitting up straight. He blocked out every emotion known to man and willed his light… soon enough, there it was; coming closer.
