"We all have to work at some point in our lives."

Veronica's POV;

A week had passed by and I got settled and hung out with my dad. But he had to go back to work and I had to look for a job. I got dressed into some nice fitting jeans and a sweater and black vans. I left my hair down and grabbed my bag and phone before walking downstairs.

My dad was already down and eating breakfast. I walked over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning Roni, what will you be up to today?" He asked.

I grab an apple before grabbing a set of his car keys, "I am off to go find a job." I say and he just nods his head.

"Okay well good luck and be careful when driving." He said as he put his plate in the sink and grabbed his car keys.

We walked out of the house together, "Dad you can trust me." I tell him and he laughs as he locked the door.

"I do, I just don't trust half the people who drive. So please be safe." He tells me.

"I will and you too." I tell him before hugging him.

We separate and I get into his Range Rover. It had that nice new car smell, I started up the car and backed out of the driveway. My first stop was this small cafe that wasn't too far from my dads house.

I pulled into the parking lot and parked my car before getting out. I was just planning to get an application not an interview so I wasn't as professional looking. But I tried to fix my outfit as best as I could.

I fixed my hair and reapplied my lip gloss before walking in. It wasn't so busy so I walked up to the counter and waited patiently for the customer to be helped. A older lady then walked over and smiled at me, she looked to be in her late 30s so not really that old.

"Hi hun what can I help you with?" She asked as she wiped her hands on a towel.

I smiled, "I read in the newspaper you were looking for a worker and I just wanted to come by and get a applic-"

"Do you have any work experience?" She cut me off.

I was taken off a little, "Um yeah I've worked as a waitress before." I tell her.

"Great then you're hired! Put on an apron and get to it. Here's your pen and notebook and just help anyone who walks in." She told me all rushed.

I was now really taken back, "Wait I got the job just like that?" I asked.

"Sugar do you want it or not?" She asked with a smirk.

"Um yeah." I laugh.

"Then get working girl." She said before disappearing into the back.

Wow that was really easy, now let's see if I can handle this. I put on my apron and stood behind the counter. There was at least 6 people here and all of which have been tended to. Man today is so slow, I mean all I was really supposed to do was get an application. But hey I got a job.
