Veronica.

I walked into the backyard with a plate full of fruit. It was a nice day to be outside, it was warm and sunny yet it had a cool breeze. Perfect way to end the summer.

I placed the plate on the wooden table out by the open area where Shawn had built the wooden jungle gym. I went back to grab the cups of lemonade while Shawn and my dad set up the umbrellas.

"Mommy look the kite it's flying!" I hear a giggle.

I looked over after setting down the cups, I saw Willow with her pink Barbie kite. She was four now and has Shawn's eyes and lucky enough his smile. But my parents say she looks like me.

Even when I tell Shawn she has some of his looks he refuses it. He claims she looks like me and it should stay that way. I just laugh every time it's brought up.

"Wow hunny it is, great job love." I tell her.

I had then seen my mom come from inside, "He just doesn't stop pooping." She complains.

I laugh as I walked towards her and take Luka from her arms. Yup our baby boy, he was just 3 months old. Now this one is a splitting image of Shawn but has my eyes. I could tell especially when Karen brought out the baby pictures.

Speaking of which the backyard doors then opened and in walked the Mendes family. Well technically we were the Mendes family as well but you get what I mean.

"Liyah!" I heard Willow scream as she had seen Aaliyah.

She still couldn't say her name right but it never bother Aaliyah. Willow ran to Aaliyah and Aaliyah picked her up and hugged her. She loved being an aunt to a little girl, God she spoils that girl. But not as bad as Shawn does.

"Finally it's up." Shawn said with relief.

"Oh look you're all sweaty Shawn, this was supposed to be a nice family dinner." Karen complained when she seen her sweaty son.

Shawn rolled his eyes playfully, "Good to see you too mom. I'll go get showered then." He said.

Shawn had went inside and Karen made her way over to me with a big smile. She got to me and gasped.

"Where's my beautiful, handsome grandson?" She asked.

I carefully handed him to her and she smiled at Luka. She and everyone else were obsessed with our kids. I'm meaning my parents, them, Aaliyah, my uncles. It made me happy to know our kids would grow up around people who loved them completely.

"How've you been Roni?" Manny asked as he gave me a hug.

I smiled, "I've been good, little tired here and there but other than that good."

Karen nodded her head, "Yeah newborns do that to you."

She then walked to sit down next to my mom so they could coo at Luka. He's only 3 months and had his way with the ladies. Man it's going to be hell later on in life when he gets a girlfriend.
