"Things just got worse."

Veronica.

I woke up to the smell of food, I opened my eyes and found myself in an empty bed. That's when the memories of what happened a few hours ago flooded my mind. A light smile appeared on my face.

I wrapped a blanket around me and walked out of his room and back to the one I was staying in. I sighed and closed the door behind me. My legs kind of still felt like jelly as I walked to my suitcases.

I grabbed my lace underwear and matching bra and some clothes to wear. I walked to the adjoining bathroom and started up the shower. As the water heated I looked at myself in the mirror.

As expected I started to see all the hickies and a little bruising on my hips. I shook my head but couldn't bring myself to stop smiling like a fool. God what was wrong with me? It was just sex. Something I've had before but yet I am left...speechless.

I shook out my thoughts as I got underneath the shower. I washed off all the sweat and grime from my body. Then I washed my hair because we were in the lake earlier. Once I was clean I got out and wrapped a towel around my body.

I dried myself and put on my bra and underwear. Then I slipped on a oversized navy green shirt that ended mid thigh. I left my curly hair the way it was and then decided to put on my knee high boots. I then did my makeup, maybe there's a place we could go around here.

Once I put on deodorant and perfume I walked out of my room. I walked down the hall and towards the kitchen. I seen plates but they were empty and I no longer heard pans sizzling.

I walked over and seen Shawn on the phone. He had some joggers hanging loosely around his hips. His back was to me so I couldn't tell from his face what was going on.

"Right now? Can't I just give you confirmation over the phone?" Shawn asked sounding a little upset.

I walked over and towards him, I walked in front to see and hear a little better. Shawn looked upset, or so I thought. I couldn't really tell how he was, he looked like he had a wall up. No emotion whatsoever.

"Fine we'll be there. Bye." He said before he hung up.

I gave him a questioning look, "What's going on?"

He ran his fingers through his hair and ran them down his face. He clearly looked like he was bothered by something.

"Shawn what happened?" I asked stepping closer to him.

He looked at me, "God you look hot, if we didn't have to leave I'd take you right back into that room and do my way with you again." He said.

Heat rose to my cheeks but I wasn't letting that phone call go, "Shawn don't change the subject. Who was on the phone?"

"The security company...someone triggered the system at home. So police showed up because we weren't there to turn it off and the place is trashed." He said sounding stressed.

My heart raced and not the way it did a few hours ago. This one was a scary fast heart beat. What if we never left the house? What if we stayed and something happened while we were there?
