Break Time

Zircon slept silently on the ground moving over as if she were fighting. "Pearl..." Garnet looked down at her and smiled. "You surprise me everyday." Zircon woke up and rubbed her eyes before looking at Garnet. "Is everyone ok?" "Everyone is fine..are you ok?" Zircon put her thumb up and stood up. "I'm always ok." "If you say so. Everyone is outside if you want to go see them." Zircon headed for the door and stopped when Garnet stared at her. "Thank you for telling me the truth of what happened Zircon. You know it's better for everyone you care about." "Anytime Garnet." She walked out and didn't look back as she kept walking twords the door.

   "Zircon?" She looked at Pearl and let her visor disappear. "Yes?" "Where are you going?" "Out to the sea to sit and watch the calm waters." "Can I come along?" She put her visor back on and took her helmet off. "I don't see why not." She put her hair in a pony tail and stretched her hand out to Pearl. "Come on." Pearl grabbed her hand excited on the inside and walked after her. "So this is what you go do on your free time?" "This and practicing." They stepped on the ocean top and walked into the deepest part sitting on it. "Why do you need practice? You're already an amazing fighter." "I need to get stronger in my weak points. I tend to go to easy on my opponents." Pearl looked at the sun and smiled a little bit. "Fear.." "huh?" "Everyone used to fear you Zircon." "You all might not..but everyone in home world sure does." Zircon sighed and tilted her head.

   "We can't be like this forever." Pearl looked at her then looked away. "What do you mean..?" "We can't keep distancing ourselves like this because of something that happened literally years ago." "Once you left the battlefield and said what you said I couldn't help but think about how you actually cared about me. Those words stuck to me for so long.." "You knew I couldn't hurt you Pearl." "Yea..but I was actually scared for my life when you were fighting me..You looked so angry and hurt I thought you were going to get rid of me for good." "I talked to Garnet about it.." "I thought we weren't going to tell anyone what really happened!" "I can trust Garnet Pearl, in my time of need she was there and willing to listen to my problems." "What about me?" "You were to angry to deal with me remember?" Pearl sighed in slight frustration and stood up.

  "Can we dance and talk?" Zircon looked at her when she put her hand out and grabbed it with a smile. "Sure." She got up and held Pearl close to her. "I'm sorry I said all those things to you Pearl." They started moving slowly in a circle looking at each other. "It was only to keep you safe..no longer should we hide what happened between us.." "we can't tell them the truth Zircon, especially Steven." "Why do you want them to keep thinking this stuff about us?" "Because-" "you're ashamed of me and what happened between us." Zircon sighed and let her go. "I am too Pearl." She started walking back to the beach and looked up at the sky. "I forgot how bright it can get out here." She stepped on the beach and looked up watching Steven jump over her.

"Zircoooon!!!"

  "Steven?" She caught him before he hit the ground and slowly lifted him up. "What are you doing jumping so high?" "It was on accident actually! I was aiming for you and not over you." "You're quite the card you know that." "Thats a good thing right?" "Of course it is Steven!" Steven looked at Pearl when she stepped on the sand and waved at her. "Hey Pearl! Come out here to fight with us?" Zircon chuckled and looked at Pearl I guess were all fighting again." "This time we give it our all and keep it fair!" "Yes sir!" Steven laughed at Zircon when she stood straight up and saluted him. "Are you all ready?" Zircon put Steven down next to Connie and put her helmet on. "Lets get on with it then!"

    She put her fist up and caught Steven's shield holding it up. "You have to remember Steven, you can't always use the same move twice." She threw the shield at him and smiled when Garnet crushed it. "Teamwork is the thing that can bring me down." She looked at her arm when Amethyst whipped around it and tried to get free. "Now Pearl!" Pearl jumped up and summoned multiple spears throwing them at Zircon. "Good idea." Zircon blocked all of the spears and quickly moved when she saw Connie swing her sword. She looked up seeing Garnet and kicked up trying to avoid getting hit in the face.

    "Good effort-!" She flew back when Steven bashed his shield against her helmet and slowly got up still trapped by Amethysts' whip. "I'm impressed but.." She grabbed the whip and sent an electrical shock down it. "You'll have to do way better than that!" She pulled Amethyst closer and kicked her back. "No way! I thought that would work!" She ran over to Steven and the others getting ready to attack them. "Keep your guard up!" "Right." Steven and Connie watched as she came closer and swung hitting the shadow. "What-!?" She stood in front of them and flicked them in the head taking them down. "She did it again!" "Shes so fast.." She gave them a thumbs up and jumped over Garnet when she threw a strong punch. "To slow Garnet." Garnet quickly turned around punching the shadows she left behind as she swiftly moved around her.

    "Dont focus on the shadows Garnet! Focus and predict on where she'll be!" Garnet smiled and turned around leaving the shadow alone strongly punching Zircon in the helmet making it fly off and her crash into the ground. "You actually got me.." She looked at Garnet with a big smile and quickly stood up. "You guys worked together to take me down! See how easy that was when you work together?" Steven laid back on the ground and sighed. "That was still tough even fighting together!" Zircon walked over to him and snapped her fingers. "Will cookie cat make you feel better?" He shot up with a smile and took the cold ice cream out of her hands. "Of course it would!" She smiled and rubbed his head. "Rose...I'm sorry for ever doubting you." She thought to herself as she kept messing his hair up.
