Changed Feelings

"Are you willing to help me?" Garnet stood up and punched the gem in the eye making it roar at them. "Good." Zircon grabbed Garnets hand and threw her in the air with full strength. "I can help too!" Zircon looked at Pearl and smiled. "You can." Zircon grabbed onto Pearl and threw her up with Garnet letting her attack from above. "Let's go!" Pearl started throwing Spears to distract it. "Go Garnet!" Garnet punched down as hard as she could creating smoke on impact when she hit it's head. "Did that do anything?" It roared again making Zircon sigh as she watched it burst out of the sand.

   "When can I rest?" She summoned two scythes and leaped up at the gem sticking her in the jaw again. "Just go down!" She angrily pulled down as hard as she could jumping up another level meeting her eyes. "You can't have Steven!" She stuck it in the eye then moved out the way trying not to get grabbed by the huge hand. "To slow-!" She got smacked out of the air crashing onto the ground next to Steven. "Zircon are you OK!?" She looked up at him and Smiled. "Yea thanks for asking." She moved him out of the way when she saw a spear strike down on the ground. "Pearl!?" She threw another hitting Stevens shield. "Pearl what are you doing!" Pearl landed and looked at the two. "Move Steven." Zircon set him down and watched as he moved out of the way. "Are you really going against me Pearl?" "No. Not until we deal with this thing first." "Fine." Zircon summoned a slightly large scythe and stared at Pearl feeling the vibration of its head crash down next to her. She swung worth all of her might lightly tapping the gem inside and let the huge thing explode.

    "Garnet what's happening why are they about to fight again?" "They aren't, go get Amethyst and go to Connie's." Steven stared for a moment then did what she said leaving the three alone. "I can't believe you." Pearl said putting her spear up. "I didn't do anything wrong." "We've had history with each other and you decide to forget that?" "Forget? I didn't forget that I know we had history with Rose and all. But it wasn't THAT kind of history." "Garnet?" Garnet stood there with her arms crossed and looked down. "Zircon please just try and get your memories of at least me back." "I have them." "You don't have them all.." "we have to shatter you again..and this time you have to stay gone longer." "What?" Zircon turned to look at the two then backed up a bit. "You aren't going to shatter me.." Garnet grabbed her holding her in place and let Pearl aim for her Diamond. "S-stop!! You can't just do this to me!!"

   "You aren't right Zircon! We're only doing this to help you!" "You're doing this for you!" Zircon said as she glared at Pearl. Pearl froze for a bit then pushed down with all her might. Zircon disappeared in sudden smoke allowing Garnet to catch the pieces. "Sorry Zircon.." Steven turned the corner as fast as he could to not get noticed looking at Connie with tears in his eyes. "What happened?" "They...shattered her again.." Connie covered her mouth in shock then hugged Steven. "I healed her and then they go back and Shatter her again! I thought that's what they wanted..! I thought they wanted her back, I was just trying to make them happy." He wiped his face and hugged Connie tighter. "I guess I really can't make everyone happy..I should just stop trying." Connie grabbed his shoulders and looked at him.

   "You shouldn't give up because of what happened Steven!" "I tried so hard Connie! They won't listen to me or do anything I suggest anymore!they just go off and do their own things without me..they leave me behind and say its to dangerous..they even told dad not to come around as much anymore because he's a distraction..I don't know what to do anymore Connie." Connie sat there and closed her eyes. "You can only take so much..you're still a human and I don't think they realize that." She looked around the rock and watched as the two headed inside. "What are we going to do now Garnet?" "We put the Diamond together the best we can and let it heal itself. We can't rush healing you see what happens, memories get lost and feelings change. We can't risk that again." Garnet set the pieces on the table letting Pearl gently put it back together the best she could. "We're missing a piece." Garnet looked outside and saw Steven standing on the edge of the beach holding something.

"Steven.."

Pearl looked along with her then quickly headed outside after Garnet. "Steven please give us the piece." He looked at Pearl and turned around red in his face as he got angry by the second. "I saw what you two did to her!" "Steven we had to." "No you didn't! You could've just helped her like she did for you guys! You gave up to easily and you know it!" "Steven you don't understand." "I do! She would've been willing to help any of us and she gets repaid like this!? He held on tight to the large piece and focused his strength in his hand. "Give it to us now Steven." He saw Garnet step forward and chucked the piece far out into the ocean. "STEVEN!!" Garnets voice rang throughout the whole city making it known that she was quite angry at him. Pearl backed away and stood behind her quietly. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE!? HOW WILL WE EVER GET ZIRCON BACK NOW SINCE YOU'VE DECIDED TO THROW AN IMPORTANT PIECE OUT!?" "Maybe it's best! She can stay away from you two!!" They stared at each other for a brief moment then broke eye contact when he started walking back towards the house. Pearl looked up when she felt a raindrop and looked back at Garnet when the rain thickened.

    "Garnet?" She saw her shaking and looked away. "It's over.." Pearl started walking away looking down at the muddy sand. "It's not over!" She stopped and looked back at her. "There is no way Im going to let that piece get lost because of a tantrum! I can't believe you would give up like this! You loved her didn't you? Then why just give up..?" "I do love her but overreacting is unnecessary..you act like you're more in love with her than anyone else.." Garnet froze when Pearl said that then looked back at the Ocean. "She was just confused Garnet." Pearl walked off and wiped her face as she went inside the dry house. Garnet stood there staring and staring as if she'd lost her life in the water.
