"She's out there again.." Steven said feeling terrible on the inside. "I didn't mean to hurt her like that..Pearl I think Garnet really really cared about Zircon and I messed that up." Pearl kept quiet and looked down at Steven. "Are you sure you even really cared about her? Garnet seems more worried than you.." "Steven.." Pearl walked away slightly angry but then sighed at his slight true statement. "I'm a terrible person.." she said looking back out at Garnet. "You've cared for her so much and I just kept getting in the way of that." She mentioned as she turned away. Steven walked out there with Garnet and sat next to her.

   "I'm sorry Garnet I-" "it's OK Steven, if I were in your shoes I would've done the same." She said still watching the ocean and smiled a little. "You...Love Zircon don't you? You and her had way more history, her and Pearl meant nothing it was all something just to cover up what you two really had." "You're so smart Steven." Garnet lost her smile a bit and stood up. "Garnet?" "I'm going to look for the missing piece." "I can help!" "No, Steven it's far to deep in the ocean." She summoned her goggles and jumped up as high as she could crashing into the ocean. "But.." Garnet sunk to the bottom with her arms crossed and started searching the large ocean floor the best she could. "I know you're going to glow eventually." She said looking down at her feet. Looking to her right she noticed a bright blue glow and quickly walked to it. "I know you're searching for the missing pieces,I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to stop this all from happening." Garnet grabbed her head in slight pain and tried calming Sapphire and Ruby down.

   "I don't want to see anymore events like this unfold in front of me!" She busted out of the water and headed back to the beach breaking the fusion between the two. "We're terrible..!" "No we aren't Ruby." "We could've helped!! But we froze seeing someone we really cared about get shattered like that! We witnessed that like everyone else Sapphire! You know how that feels don't you!?" "Of course I do." "Then why are you so calm about it!? STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DONT CARE!!" Sapphire froze at what Ruby said along with Steven who was making his way down the stairs. "You aren't the one that has to see it twice..."
Sapphire whispered to herself not letting anyone hear. "What did you say?" "YOU ARENT THE ONE THAT HAS TO SEE IT HAPPEN TWICE! IT HURTS ME MORE THAN ANYONE SEEING IT HAPPEN KNOWING I CANT DO ANYTHING BUT SIT THERE LIKE A HELPLESS CHILD WATCHING SOMEONE I LOVE GET SHATTERED!! ITS NOT REASSURING TO ME..this is a curse that was assigned to me and I can't fix it.." Tears streamed down her face as she looked away from the two, quickly making Ruby regret what she said. "Sapphire I'm sorry I-I didn't mean to hurt you..I knew how you felt but I was to angry to see it." "I care so much that I made us unfuse Ruby, maybe I care to much." "There's no such thing as caring to much Sapphire." The two small gems looked at Steven then tried to hide their faces. "I care to much about everything..especially about you all. I hate seeing you two split up and argue. If it's anybody's fault as to why Zircon is gone it's mine." They ran up to Steven and gave him a tight hug one warm and one cold.

   "There is no way it would be your fault Steven.." Sapphire said as she hugged him tighter. "Yea..you shouldn't put the blame only on you for what happened." They let him go and gave him a bright smile. "You ready Sapphire?" "Of course." Steven smiled and covered his eyes at the bright shine, out of the light Garnet emerged standing straight up with a warm smile. "Im sorry you had to see that Steven." "We all break down at some point no reason to hold it in am I right?" Garnet hugged him and held it for a brief moment letting out a little whisper. "I love you Steven." He smiled and returned the warm hug. "Let's go put the final piece up there." Garnet picked him up and walked up the stairs with him climbing on her shoulders. "So she can mend back together?" "That's right." "That's so cool!" Garnet passed Pearl letting Steven feel the tension between them.

   "So, how long will she take?" "It could be a year...or ten thousand." "What!?" Steven said in disbelief as he looked at Garnet. "Kidding. It varies, she could Come back in seconds or in a week. Who knows." Garnet put Steven down then Tilted her shades giving him a wink. "Matter of fact if you put it together now she could come back this second." Steven put the piece with the rest and watched as it shined a bit. "Now we wait!...again." Garnet rubbed his head and looked down at him still smiling. "It's worth the wait trust me." He hugged her leg and kept a hold of it. "You found it!?" The two looked at Amethyst as she ran towards them, full of excitement! "No way you telling me she'll be back sooner!?" "That's right Amethyst." She stood by them and smiled at the shining Diamond.
