19 days until the war.

"We wasted time on corrupted gems!" Zircon said slamming her hand on the counter. "Zircon calm down, we still have time." Garnet said watching as Steven, Pearl, and Connie came inside. "Good job you two! Next is training with Zircon~!" She said in a singing voice. "Hey Zircon! Ready to get going?" "Always Sweetie." Zircon roughed her hair up a bit and picked her up heading towards the warp pad. "Come on Steven!" He followed after them full of excitement dragging Pearl along. "Are you coming Garnet?" "Yes." She followed after them her fist slightly balled up. "Let's get going!" Steven spread his arms lifting up a bit as the warp pad warped them back to the arena.

    "Let's get going you two." Zircon set Connie Down and watched as the two stood together ready. Zircon punched at Steven, quickly avoiding the sword Connie swung at her. "You're doing good already." Zircon grabbed the sword and flipped Connie over hoping she'd go down. "Not this time!" Connie landed the flip and swung at Zircon again forcing her to back up into their trap. "Now Steven!" Steven bashed her back making her fly forward at Connie. "I got you!" Making her hand slip Connie accidentally let Zircon fall on the sword stabbing through her chest. "Oh no! I'm so sorry Zircon!" Zircon got up slowly and looked down at Connie. "I'm..I'm sorry..!" Zircon kneeled to her level and pulled the sword out handing it to her. "It's OK Connie! That's exactly how to win in battles no matter what happens you can't stop to apologize for anything." Zircon kissed her forehead calming her down a bit.

    "Not everything is your fault OK?" "Right." Zircon winked at her and got back in her position. "You two ready?" Steven nudged Connie trying to get her out of her slight blushing fit. "Focus Connie." "R-right!" Zircon rushed towards the two again cocking her fist back ready to punch. "I think I should be going next." Pearl said to Garnet. "Yep." Pearl scooted down next to her and sighed. "She's only a kid." "I know." Garnet said fixing her glasses. "You should get going now Pearl, it's your turn." Pearl stood up and slightly danced her way down to Zircon. "Good job you two! Next is complete offense tomorrow!" Zircon noticed Pearl standing there and took her helmet off. "Well if it isn't Pearl." She put her staff away and clenched her fist. "Ready?" "Ready." Pearl threw her spear and followed the attack with another for distraction. "I thought you were going to stop with the throwing!" Zircon caught one and twirled it around blocking the others. "You need to do better-!" Zircon quickly blocked the fast spear aiming for her chest then caught the other as it almost touched her face.

   "Woah." She didn't notice Pearl in front of her face and ended up getting kicked in the face making her fly into the stands next to Garnet. "I guess you underestimate Pearl to much Sweetie." "Oh shut it." Zircon said getting up dusting herself off. She gave Garnet a smile as she heard her chuckle and jumped back down. "Ok maybe you have gotten better." Zircon put her fist back up and flipped her hair out of the way. "Let's do this." Pearl ran up to Zircon striking down at her only to get her attacks caught or blocked. "Sit still!" Zircon grabbed her spear and pulled her closer punching her in the face, making her poof into smoke. "Pearl!!" Steven and Connie said in unison. "I gotcha." Zircon caught her Pearl as it fell and walked over to Steven and Connie. "It's all a part of training. You live and you learn. Do you understand that?" They both nodded and held each others hands tightly.

    "But don't worry I won't do anything to harm you two." She messed up their hair and chuckled as she flipped Pearls gem. "Be careful." Garnet said following after her. "No need to worry! I have pretty steady hands you should know this." Garnet punched her shoulder making her stumble a bit. "Sorry sorry the joke was there though." The two warped back to the house leaving Amethyst, Steven, and Connie alone. "She poofed her.." "Don't worry little man she's fine! It's Pearl we're talking about!" Amethyst scratched her head then sighed. "Come on you two let's go." The three warped back to the house and saw Pearl standing there talking to Zircon and Garnet. "Pearl!!!" Steven shouted out as he tackled her down. "Oh Steven!" "You were gone for so long!" "I was only gone for ten minutes." "That's way to long!" Connie said hugging her. "The lesson here was to never let your guard down. Even when you are on the offensive." Pearl said chuckling.
