zircon's arrival

Zircon was a powerful Diamond that could destroy anything with a snap of a finger. She was everyone's favorite Diamond only because she was fair and never had anyone working for her under orders. The only person she had by her side was her loyal and lovely partner Pearl.
    They've been together through everything! battles, wars, you name it! But one day Pearl met the amazing Rose Quartz and left Zircon during battle to fight along side her. "Why pearl?" She said in distress as pearl walked away from her. Pearl turned to her trying not to show sorrow. "I'm..I'm sorry Zircon but its better for me and for you." She told her as she jumped off of the edge with Rose. Zircon stood up and watched as they glided down to the bottom angry and heartbroken. Zircon couldn't believe what Pearl had done and tried to get revenge for the pain she had caused her. But when the time came and she came face to face with pearl..she couldn't do it..she couldn't hurt the one she truly cared about and left the battle field. "Whatever makes you happy.." She said as she teleported away.

    "Then what happened Garnet?" "No one knows Steven." "Not even Pearl?" "Not even pearl." Steven looked out of the window and up at the star lit sky. "Did mom know about Zircons sadness?" "No Steven, this time your mom didn't know about her sadnesss because Zircon was good at hiding it."
   He pointed at a falling star watching it come closer and closer until it crashed into the soft sand. "Woah!" Everything shook in the house making him fall out of his bed. "What is that!?" Pearl said running outside. "I dunno but it woke me up, so now I'm angry!" Garnet looked at the two angry Gems and winked at steven before silently walking out of the house summoning her gauntlets. "Step back, we don't know what it is." The figure walked out of the thick smoke with her hands on her hips. "Miss me?" Everyone looked at her blue body and her shiny light blue helmet.
   "Woah, who's that!?" Steven ran up to her and looked up at her dazed. "You look like a galaxy..!" "Steven get away from her!" She picked him up and put him on her shoulders with a laugh. "I'm not gonna hurt him he seems pretty interesting to me." She ran her hand through his soft brown hair and chuckled. "Put him down!" She looked at Pearl then back at the others. "What are you doing here Zircon?" Garnet said getting rid of her weapons and crossing her arms. "That's Zircon!? We shouldn't just let steven be near her like that Garnet! Ain't she the Gem Hunter?" Amethyst said pulling out her whip. "Its fine Amethyst we just need to handle the situation without fighting." "So your names Zircon huh?" Steven said looking at her helmet.
    "That's right and you must be Steven!" She picked him up and examined him playfully. "What's this?" She said poking his Gem. "That tickles!" He said with a goofy laugh. "So you're what Rose Quartz has made? Pretty cute if you ask me." She set him down and ran her hand through his head one more time before he walked back to the Crystal Gems. "You better have a good reason as to why you're here!" Zircon ignored Pearl and looked at Garnet. "Blue Diamond is trying to shatter me." "Blue Diamond can't shatter another Diamond." "Well she obviously doesn't care about the rules Garnet, cause she's bending them pretty well." Garnet tilted her head making her shades shine in the moonlight.
    "She can't come down here without violating more rules so she won't risk it." "But she will be willing to send stuff after me to take me back." "And what do you need our help for? You're the great Gem Hunter after all." Pearl stepped in front of Garnet cutting their conversation short. Zircon walked up to her and looked down at her. "Well?" She slightly moved her out of the way and continued talking to Garnet. "Can I get your help?" Garnet nodded her head and headed back to the house. "We're gonna help a legend! We're gonna help a legend!" Steven said happily; Amethyst put her whip up and started walking back to the house tired. "Who is she sleeping with!?" Pearl yelled out to Garnet and the others.

"You!"

    She heard Garnets voice as it echoed throughout her head. "What...?" She hurried inside after the others and reluctantly opened her room for Zircon. "Hey Pearl?" "Yes, Steven?" "How long do you think Zircon is going to stay here?" "Hopefully not long..now off to bed Steven." She closed the door and looked up at Zircon. "Don't you dare touch anything." Zircon laughed and sat on the calm like water. "Are you just going to laugh and ignore me!?" She said in frustration as she paced around her. "How's life going for you now Pearl? You know...since you left." "You're pathetic." "I'm pathetic? I'm not the one who ran away when things got bad Pearl! You're the one that has left me to die alone for someone that kept everything from you!"

     Pearl looked down at Zircon in complete anger and turned her nose up. "Rose Quartz told me everything and I know it!" "You need to get this through your head Pearl and get it there fast. Rose kept secrets from everyone and most likely you so you wouldn't get hurt knowing the truth. You can't just assume you are above everyone else because you know one little thing about her." Pearl looked at Zircon and fell silent. "So if anyone is pathetic Pearl its you." Zircon stood up and jumped down the waterfall. "I'm going to be under you so I guess if you need me I'll be here." Zircon walked into the water and laid there letting Pearl think of what she said. "Maybe you're right.." Zircon crawled out of the water and sat next to her hesitantly. "I didn't say all that stuff just to be mean Pearl, I said it so you can understand." Zircon took her helmet off and looked at Pearl with her deep blue eyes, Pearl blushed a little and put her head back down. "Understand what..?" "I wanted you to understand how much pain you put me through...you just...left without actually giving me a reason." Pearl sunk her head in her lap even more and stayed quiet. "Better for the both of us." Zircon sunk back under the platform and floated there in the clear water. "That's all you do is think about is yourself...I miss the Pearl I know."
