"... Don't forget, there's a town festival going on tonight." My Study Hall professor stated and he got up and walked to his back-room as the bell rang.
Students piled into the hallways and made their way out of the school. Study hall was more of the last period.
It's been a week since I've seen Luke - or any of the boys for that matter. I missed them. I missed him. Tonight is Founder's Day, so maybe I'll see them there.
I do need a distraction, so maybe I'll go shopping. I know, how cliché of me, a teenage girl, to go shopping.
Just then Jessie walked up to me.
I missed him too.
"Hello beautiful." He winked and sent shivers down my spine.
"Hey Jessie." I grinned and he turned to walk beside me.
"Would you like to go to the festival thing with me?" He asked me.
I hesitated and finally said, "Pick me up at 7." And I walked away with confidence in my step.
I smiled to myself in an attempt to calm my racing heart. I somehow made it outside and to my car without noticing that I was even walking.
I'm surprised I actually made it to my car. As I unlocked the door and got inside, my heart stopped when I saw a pale girl with that familiar blonde hair that I recognized immediately.
I was petrified with fear that coursed through my veins.
"Oh, what's wrong love? Cat got 'ya tongue?" Her accent rang in my ears and my body grew cold.
"Why are you here, Hailey?" My voice shook.
"What? I can't have some fun with my brother's girlfriend?"
"I am not your friend. So leave me alone." I spat.
Girlfriend?
Seriously, now is not the time to worry about that...
"Awe... That makes me sad. And sweetheart, you don't want to make me emotional." She stated. She opened her door and got out of my car.
She bent over to look at me through my rolled down window. I glared at her."I'll see you tonight..." She smirked and disappeared into the crowded parking lot.
I let out a sigh and leaned my back into my leather seat.
I need to find Luke.
"So, why is she here?" I asked Luke, who was drinking a glass of whiskey while we were picking out a dress for me to wear. His mom was there too. She was helping me with constructive criticism and pulling my dresses together.
She's a very pleasant person to be around.
"I don't know, Sophia. I've been trying to figure that out for a while now-" his mom cut him off and said, "She's lonely Luke. She needs attention. Just ignore her. She'll go away."
"Ignore her? She threatens my very existence, and you tell me to ignore her?" He spat. His mom shot him a look through the stand up mirror and the smirk on his face died with his attitude.
After Liz was done tying the partial corset of the dress, she huffed and tied the knot. She turned me around and walked me over so I was directly in front of Luke.
He looked up at me and smiled.
"How does she look?" Liz asked him.
The torso portion of the dress made me look thinner than I actually was, the dress began at a v-neck and showed the swell of my breasts. Thin straps were at my shoulders and hooked to the side of the material. Connected to the straps of my dress was a cape-like thing that went past my feet and behind me. Where the corset ended is where the fabric became loose and flowed down to the ground. Almost like a mid-Victorian dress.
My hair was curled and pulled into a loose bun with strands out and hung beautifully around my face.
Luke scanned me and I felt my cheeks growing warm.
"You look amazing." He smiled again and looked to his mother, then back at me.
"You did a beautiful job, mom." He said.
Luke and his mom dropped me off at my house, where I waited for Jessie to pick me up.
Anxiety swelled up in my chest, or maybe that was just me suffocating because this corset was too damn tight. Either way, I was freaking out. Everything just became hazy and my breaths became short and broken. Which didn't help the cause.
I needed to stock up on supplies. I will most likely be needing to defend myself before the end of tonight.Oh my god, what will I do if Jessie gets in the way, or hurt?
I heard a noise and shot up from my bed.
