L U K E

I came home last night to see Sophia home again. She seemed unharmed, which I was just ecstatic about. After I pulled her into a tight hug, I kissed her forehead as I silently fought the urge to kill my sister. Oh God How I want to kill her. It's gnawing at me, and every time she takes Sophia away it gets worse.

We let go of each other and I was grinning like an idiot.

"Are you sure she didn't hurt you?" I asked for about the fifth time.

"Yes Luke. I'm sure, we actually just had some girl bonding time." She joked. I laughed at the idea of my sister actually having the heart to spend time with other girls without ripping their vocal cords out.

I nodded and suggested to take her out for dinner. She agreed happily and we were on our way to the best restaurant in town. Blaire's Frontier.

The building was at least a fourth of a block, it was two stories high and looked similar to a french cafe; lights were eligantly hanging on the outside and flowers were placed in planters that hung on the windows. As soon as we came to a complete stop, I got out and shut the door. I walked over to Sophia's side to open the door for her. She stepped out of the car and smiled brightly at me. I was falling more in love with her everytime I saw her.

I held my arm out for her and she took it. We walked into the restaurant and got a table for two. The room was lit up by chandeliers that hung from the ceiling. The tables were round, with white tablecloths draped neatly over them. There were candles that sat in the middle of each table, all of them were lit.

Sophia looked at me with that same beautiful smile as the waitress led us to our seats. I pulled Sophia's chair from under the table and pushed it in as soon as she sat down.

The night was filled with jokes and smiles and food. We sat with our plates cleared at our table and continued talking about the universe.

"Everyday, our universe is expanding. One day, we will see our whole galaxy on the horizon." She said lightly. God, I loved when she got passionate about things like this.

"You said you were in love with the stars... Why?" I asked.

"They understand me. They're chaotic, yet breathtakingly beautiful at the same time. I love the colours, and the feeling I get when I stargaze." She smiled again and I took her hand. I kissed the back of it slowly while still making eye contact with her.

Her eyes were so beautiful.

"You're beautiful, more so than the stars you yearn to be with. Breathtaking is not the word to describe you. You're so amazing. I could sit here, listening to you talk about your dreams and passions while staring into your beautiful eyes, forever." I let the words roll off my lips like honey and kissed her hand again. Soon after, I intertwined our fingers as I saw blood go into her cheeks.

She blushed a light pink and I chuckled softly. She smiled.

"I have no idea what to say, Luke. Only that..." She paused and became serious, but had passion in her eyes. "I think I love you." She finally said.
