Chapter 14

Your pov

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. Christen was still asleep. I get up and wake up Christen. She shifts and the opens her eyes and she literally looked so cute.

"Sorry Pressy, but it's time to get up for breakfast." I say

Thank you for waking me up. She says getting up and stretching. I head to the bathroom and change into my practice clothes on. I also brush my hair and brush my teeth and then I head out to grab my bag and make sure it's all ready to go.

Once Christen is ready we both head down for breakfast together. Hope and Kelley walk through the door with Alex and Tobin right behind them holding hands.

Finally!

They walk over and sit down.

"It's about damn time!" I say

"Shut up we know, that's what Kelley and Hope said too." says Alex

We all laugh and just talk until we decide to get up to get food. After we get our food we go back and sit down. I get a text and I pull my phone out of my pocket and look at it. 

Nonna- Ciao y/n sua nonna, mi dispiace che non sono mai stata lì per te in questi ultimi mesi. Volevo farvi sapere che io e tuo nonno sarà al gioco di calcio questo venerdì. Il nostro aereo ottiene il giovedì mattina. Spero che possiamo parlare! Ti amo

(Grandma - hello y/n its grandma, im sorry I haven't been there for you in these last few months. I wanted to let you know that your grandfather and I will be at soccer game this friday. Our plane gets in on thursday morning. I hope we can talk! I love you)

Why now? For almost 11 years I've heard nothing from them and all of a sudden they care?

Me - suo stato nonna anni perché sono solo ora iniziando a prendersi cura di me? Dopo tutto questo tempo? Dov'eri tu che mi servivi dopo Ma è morta? Dov'eri quando avevo bisogno di te dopo che sono uscito di tbe ospedale? perché ora stanno decidendo di tornare nella mia vita?

(its been years grandma why are you just now starting to take care of me? after all this time? where were you I needed you after Ma died? where were you when I needed you after I got out of tbe hospital? why now are you deciding to come back into my life?)

Nonna - So che non siamo stati lì per voi questi ultimi anni e mi dispiace per tua madre e i fratelli. Mi dispiace anche per non essere lì per te. Vogliamo sostenere voi ora.

(I know we haven't been there for you these past years and I'm sorry about your Mother and siblings. I'm also sorry for not being there for you. We want to support you now)

Me - Ho rinunciato a famiglia allargata. Se si voleva ancora nella mia vita avrebbe raggiunto a me anni fa. Ogni volta che abbiamo chiamato hai mai risposto. Non cercare di entrare nella mia vita solo perché non ho piu ' nessuno. Soggiornare a nonna Italia

(I gave up on extended family. If you still wanted in my life you would have reached out to me years ago. Whenever we called you never answered. Don't try to come into my life just because I don't have anyone anymore. Stay in Italy grandma)

I felt a hand on my knee and I looked up to see Christen

"Are you okay?" She asks

I shake my head and I slid my phone in my pocket and pick up my plate that I haven't even touched and put it in one of the bins. I ignore Christen Alex and Hope trying to get me to come back. I head outside and walk to the park. I sit on the swing and cover my my face with my hands and I immediately start crying.
