The darkness instantly blotted out my vision. I blinked a few times and I began to adjust to the darkness when a bright light blinded me. I opened my eyes to a dim, glowing orb. Yellow spots danced before my eyes. The claws were gone from my shoulders and I was on the cold, hard ground of the cave.
"Little Thief," rumbled a voice. I stood up quickly and drew my sword, glancing around wildly. "You think I'm going to be beaten by a toothpick like you?" came the voice. I looked to Saphira and her eyes danced playfully.
"You," I muttered, eyes narrowing a little. "Where are we?" Saphira spread her wings wide.
"This is my cave, and this is where you shall take the final test," she replied. "Follow me."
