"Friends?" hissed Noah.
"Shut up," I snapped, pulling my sword from the ground beside me and twirling it around in my hand. "Fight." Noah stared at me.
"Are you crazy? We'll be killed!"
"That's the idea," I said, hearing Kade laugh. I thought of my brother, Jack Windsor. It gave me strength and courage. The first beast came out of the forest; a Lightwing.
What's a Lightwing? you ask. Well, think of a giant dragon without wings and huge, lamp like eyes. That's your Lightwing.
"Well, then," said Kade. "Let's kill this thing."
"Agreed," Pygon, Noah and I muttered. Nico shook his head. "
"You don't kill Lightwings," he said. "No one does." Kade laughed at him.
"You might not kill Lightwings, but I do," he said, hefting his sword. With a clash, one of the Lightwings talons came off. I thought of Jack and put all my strength into a swing that lopped off the beast's foot. It roared, then turned, it's lamp-like eyes seeming to bore holes in me. Then he charged.
