"Josh. Josh."
I sit up and murmur, "Mm?" Pygon is standing above me.
"I know who the traitor is," he says grimly. "Come with me and I'll show you." I nod and stand up. It's been a week since Jack transmitted his message. I hope he's okay. A week and a day since Noah died. We trek through the woods and I follow somewhat dejectedly. I don't even think to ask why Nico and Kade are still at camp until it's too late. I find myself with my back to a cliff, Pygon holding a knife to my throat.
"You," I manage to say, though I don't know how. "You're the traitor. Not Noah."
"No," replied Pygon with a laugh. "It wasn't Noah, but it did to have the blame placed on someone, especially a dead person."
"What are you going to do? Kill me?" I ask. Pygon shakes his head.
"Oh, of course not! I figure Saphira will gladly do that for me." He drops the knife and sprints away to stand behind a tree.
"Coward!" I hiss before I feel cold, hard paws close on my shoulders. Talons dig into my flesh and I am lifted into the air, Pygon and the landscape becoming smaller as I am taken higher and higher.
