Eyes On Me

Chapter 2

Selena Pov

I was coming home from school when i saw the same moving truck that was there yesterday leaving the driveway next to my house

A young couple used to live there but they moved when they got married

I adjusted my backpack on my shoulders and kept walking to the front door I hope whoever is moving in is friendly i thought while entering my house

As soon as i step inside my nostrils are immediately assaulted by the sweet smell of chocolate and frosting, i leave my backpack by the door and rush to the kitchen ready to eat whatever my mom baked

"How was school, Selena?" My mom asked as I took a seat at the kitchen island

"Boring, as usual" I reached out to dip a finger into the chocolate cake but my mom playfully smacked my hand away

"It's not for you sweetie, it's for our neighbors"

"But mom, i really want to eat a piece of this delicious cake right now" I tried to protest but she cut me off by taking my hands into one of hers and with the other she placed the cake into them "Take the cake and go say hi to them"

"What if i don't want to?"

"Go and make some friends Selena, I heard they're around your age" She said happily

She always pressured me to make more friends, go out more and go on dates but i'm happy with the way my life is

I admit i didn't experince what other people around my age experinced and they often call me a prude at school because i don't go to party often or i don't sleep with guys

I rolled my eyes at my mom getting up "Fine, I'll go"

I made my way to the front door and turned around "Shouldn't I change my clothes first?" I was in my usual high skater skirt with high knee socks

"You look good sweetie, don't worry" She smiled reassuringly at me "Please don't embarrass yourself" i heard her whisper

"Okay, bye mom" I said closing the door and going to the house next to mine

I was on the steps of their front door biting my thumb nail nervously I can do this I took a deep breath and knocked on the door No i can't, i should run away now

Just as i was about to turn around the door creaked open and i was met with a pair of gorgeous hazel eyes and a smirk playing in his perfectly sculpted face

"umm.. Hi" I said shyly trying to stay calm

"Hello" I heard his deep voice say while eyeing me up and down licking his lips

"I-I live next door and I came over to welcome you" I said with a small voice not knowing if he heard me

He gave me a small chuckle probably noticing how nervous i was "I'm Justin" He held out his hand and i noticed how big it was and how long his fingers were Oh, fuck, what i'm thinking?

"I'm Selena" I placed my slightly shaking hand in his and he surprised me by leaving a soft kiss on it

"Beautiful name" He mumbled against my hand and "So soft" but i wasn't sure if I had heard him correctly, my cheeks were on fire and i was probaly hearing things

"Come in" He said leaving my hand and I instantly missed his warm touch Stop, Selena

"My mom made you a cake" I said as i entered the house

"That's very sweet of her, thank you" He kept his eyes on me and I felt like squirming under his strong gaze

He led the way to the kitchen and asked me if i wanted something to drink, i politely refused and looked around the room, I was so embarrassed and I was probably still red on the cheeks. I never knew how to act with guys

"Justi- woah" I heard someone say behind me "Another girl? Doesn't look like she's from the strip club, though"

"Excuse me?" I turned around and looked at him with wide eyes

"Shut up Alfredo, she lives next door" He said Pulling out a beer from the fridge "She's here to welcome me" A smirk appeared on his plump lips

"Oh, what kind of welcome she will give you?" He wiggled his eyebrows and I didn't know what they were talking about

"I'm Selena" I said ignoring what he was saying

"Nice stripper name" He laughed and I bowed my head as blood rushed to my cheeks making them more red than before

"Please don't listen to him Selena, He's trying to be funny but he isn't" Justin gave Alfredo a hard glare making him shut up

"Yeah, Sorry" He said apologetically and then looked at the kitchen table "Uh, you brought a cake, I already love you Selena"

"Go away Fredo, She brought it for me, I'm her neighbor not you" Justin said after taking a sip of his beer

"Someone said cake?" A deep voice said followed by another excited voice "Cake? where?"

"Oh, my God" Justin muttered under his breath "Someone else want to join us?" I can hear sarcasm in his tone

I felt extremely uncomfortable being in a room with four guys I didn't know and I nervously began to play with my fingers trying to come up with an excuse to get out of here

"We should call Hailey" The last guy that entered the kitched nudged Justin playfully

"No Za, we shouldn't and you all shouldn't be here" He said frustrated

I felt invisible as they were looking at each other sending looks and suddenly everyone's eyes were on me I preferred when i was invisible

"Oh shi-Hi..." The other guy said "I'm Maejor and this is Za" He smiled brightly and held out his hand Finally someone with manners I thought

"I'm Selena" I smiled back at him and shook his hand "It was nice to meet all of you but I should really go now"

"No!" Justin exclaimed "I mean.. are you sure you can't stay more?" He asked hopeful as his caramel eyes sparkled

"No, I'm sorry" I lied "I have to help my mom" I justified biting down on my bottom lip

He nodded and looked at me with a mix of sadness and anger probably towards his friends "Let me walk you to the door"

He opened the front door and I was ready to leave but he took my arm gently making me stop "I'm sorry for my friends" He chuckled then flashed me a radiant smile making my heart go faster "Why don't you come tomorrow? We can watch a movie and eat pizza"

I looked up at him, unsure of what to say "Without my friends and their stupid jokes" He continued, He was beautiful and seemed so sweet but I never went to a guy's house or stayed alone with a guy, an older guy

"Say yes.." He whispered and I looked at his pink plump lips while he talked I wonder what those lips could do

I looked at his eyes again and smiled remembering my mom's words, I should make more friends and what could happen? We will watch a film and eat, nothing more

"Sure" As soon as I said that his big smile was replaced by a smirk and his eyes darkened a little bit

"Are you saying yes just for the pizza?" He joked and his eyes turned their bright caramel color

"Of course" I laughed and walked down the steps of his house

"See you tomorrow, Selena" I turned around and smiled at him before going to my house

The entire day and night I had Justin on my mind and couldn't wait to see him, I never felt like this, I had some crushes but I was too shy to talk to boys and when they approached me I was scared but with Justin i felt good and the only thing that made me nervous was his endless beauty
