Anna-Rae Cole: Continued:
One thing that I've learnt through not only Love and Hip Hop episodes, but also from life experiences is that baby mamas always seem to have some sort of connection with their parenting partner. It's a connection that I'd always seemed to despise and now that I'm in this kind of situation, I'm still debating on how to react.
The last thing that I wanted between AJ and I was for him to rekindle feelings with Royalty and for them to build this fake ass, brand new 'happy family'. I mean, what woman with sense would want that?
I came to a conclusion that I wouldn't bring it up to AJ. I didn't want him to know that Royalty and their son had turned up, I didn't want Royalty and AJ to be on good terms... Things were a lot simpler when it was just AJ and I with no interceptions or love diversions.
My thoughts were caught up by the door shuffling behind me. For a while, the door handle fidgeted as if somebody was trying to get in.
"Anna?!" AJ called from behind the front door. I exhaled lightly.
"Come open the front door!!" He shouted again. I rose from my position and the door flew open.
"Was the door stuck or something?" He asked as he came into the house and pulled me in by my waist to kiss me.
"Yeah, I don't know what happened to it." I said a little breathlessly. Acting like there wasn't an elephant in the room on my end was a hard task.
My eyes glided over his face and stopped at the faint bruise on his right cheek. I furrowed my eyebrows together and stared at the bruise. AJ obviously caught onto what I was seeing as he turned his head swiftly in order to shade the bruise.
"What happened to your cheek?" I asked, bringing my fingers up to touch it. My eyebrow rose a little when he stepped back, then my eyes glided over his all black attire.
"It's nothing, I think I got bitten by something and it ain't sotting well with my skin," He said easily and I nodded slowly.
"Planning to rob a bank?" I asked, giving his black attire the elevator eyes as he chuckled.
"What, so I can't wear black just because?" He asked with a light chuckle as he placed his house keys on the table and collapsed on the couch for a minute.
As I looked down at him, I had to refrain strongly from beating his ass right then and there. As much as I hated him right now for lying to me throughout these 4 years, I couldn't help but admire him.
I don't know why I took such admiration to him at this point- at a point where I should've been hating him the most. AJ was like a drug to me, as bad as he was to my being, I couldn't help but stay addicted to him and he wasn't even aware... I often wondered if he felt similarly towards me.
"You aight there?" AJ asked with a heavy chuckle as he looked up at me with a raised eyebrow as well.
I snapped out of my stance and plopped down next to him only for his phone to ring and kill the mood immediately.
He brought it out and peered at the screen of his phone and my eyes rolled heavily once I'd seen Royalty calling.
I climbed onto his lap and he somewhat tilted his phone screen a way from me, as if to hide the fact that Royalty was calling. I began to kiss either of his cheeks before cupping his face in my hands and attempting to pull him in for a passionate kiss.
"One second babe, I gotta take this call." He said in a rushed tone, sliding out from under me and jogging upstairs whilst removing his black fitted snapback in the process. I sighed lightly as I watched him ascend the stairs and disappear into our bedroom.
