Devin Hulls: Sunday 13th December:
I brushed my hands over my face and groaned as the crew shouted loudly over one another.
"Could y'all shut the fuck up?" I asked, silencing the room, AJ spun around towards me in slow motion before cocking his head to the side.
"Nigga, who you finna try?" He asked in a slight squeal of confusion.
"You! Mayne, I got a fucking head ache, and shit ain't going too well for me in this thing called life right now so could you turn yo' shit down a notch or five?" I asked with an exhale as I sighed and they all looked at me weirdly, all besides Adrian who was the only one who actually knew what was going on.
"What's up which'u homie? Somebody piss in your frosted flakes?" Tyrone asked.
"Nah, it must have been the cinnamon toast crunch, with the way his boogie ass is acting." Bambii huffed.
"Whatever, y'all irritating as fuck." I mumbled, checking my messages for the fifteenth time in the last five minutes.
She still hadn't texted back.
"Don't expect nothing anytime soon boy." Adrian mumbled, but loud enough for only me to hear as he walked past me and out of the front room. He'd been threatening a lot lately to snitch on what I potentially did or did not do, that's still being decided by he and April.
The situation between April and I has been kept on the down-low for the past week or so which I prefer, although I'm still hurting that I've not been granted even a second of her time to redeem myself.
Adrian jogged back into the front room, pulling the plug out of the play station which Tyrone and AJ were consumed in. They both sucked their teeth, chucking their controller to the floor in a strop and reaching up to beat Adrian's ass for ruining their winning streaks.
"Wait! It's serious y'all. And I'm bringing this up right now because I'm shit at keeping secrets." Adrian said, shifting Royalty's legs off to the side and onto the floor in order for him to sit beside her on the two-seater couch. I eyed him lightly as everybody settled on the couches.
"So, is nobody wondering why April ain't hea' and Devin's in his feeling?" Adrian asked and I sighed, looking down at my sneakers.
"I thought April was running errands." Tyrone said and Adrian huffed.
"They going through some shit yo',"
"And it ain't yo' business to be spreading it my nigga!" I interrupted Adrian, my eyebrows knitted together as the rest of the squad looked between the two of us.
"It is my motherfucking business if my pregnant and emotionally unstable sister is staying at my place and going through shit with her baby father that could potentially ruin their relationship forever." Adrian said through gritted teeth and I leaned back, folding my arms and eyeing him.
"What's going on?" AJ asked, "And stop all this beating around the bush shit."
"Devin cheated on April-"
"No I didn't! You wasn't there Adrian, You'on know what the fuck happened. I wouldn't lie on another woman! Yeah I kissed a stripper, but how many months ago was that? And I already apologised and all to April for that!" I said clawing at my scalp in frustration as my breathing increased.
"But if it happened weeks ago, why's it being brought up now?" AJ asked, his arms were folded and he looked as if he was waiting for me to say one wrong thing before he charged at me.
"Because I have what you can call a history with the girl I kissed, I refused sex with her and I guess she took it upon herself to come and ruin my relationship with April by feeding her some bullshit ass lies about me having a child with her and all this crap." I said, sucking my teeth.
