"Haa, Ted is such a hero. My knight in shining armour. My Prince Charming. My - ""Shut up, Poppy. He's too old for you," I muttered and Poppy sighed dreamily.
"So, what? When I was developing a crush on Phar, you never stopped me," She said and I smacked her head.
"I did warn you, but you never listen. Let's not talk about him," I said and she nodded.
"Talking about him makes me throw up. So... let's talk about my hero, my knight in shining armour, Ted," She said and placed her elbow on the window. She looked out of it probably imagining herself as some historical princess. I shook my head in disbelief.
"Only because he called you 'sweetheart' and well, beat up Phar, doesn't mean that he likes you," I mumbled and she turned around.
She raised her grown eyebrow and asked, "Why do you care?"
"Er... nothing. I don't mean to burst your bubble but reality and truth is bitter. He probably likes you, but, as a sister," I emphasized on the last word.
"Fine, but wait... do you like him?"
"What? No, never! I can never love him even in my wildest dreams. He's too arrogant and er... "
"... Handsome and smart. Strong and spontaneous with a nice body," Poppy opined and I punched her arm.
"Shut up, just get it clear that I would never, ever love him!"
"Okay, chill. You are clearly over -reacting dude. I never talked about love so why are you?" She asked and I gawked at her. I too remember her talking about 'like' then why did I said love? Stupid, stupid me!
"Whatever. And don't dude me. I don't like it."
"Don't try to change the topic, Abby. It is so evident that you have some feelings for Ted. I'll leave him surely for my sister," She said and my hands itched to rip her hair off. She grinned widely and before I could reason out with her, she started shouting, "Abby likes Ted, Abby likes Ted. Abby plus Ted would give what?"
"What?" I asked and mentally slapped myself for responding to her silliness.
"TEBBY! Hurrah, the ship has sailed to Norway! Tebby - "
"Why-has-the-ship-sailed-to-Norway?" I rushed through the words, horrified that Poppy figured out about the closet, about Ted and everything!
"I said Norway? Well, I don't know. I just felt like taking a country's name. The ship has sailed to Narnia!"
"Why Narnia?" I asked and she shrugged casually. I inspected her, but by the looks on her face it didn't seem that she knew anything. She was just taking random names and it was a coincidence.
"The name Tebby is cho cute... You could totally name your child, Tebby. It would be so adorable and I'll be such a cool and sassy aunt."
"Ew, I'll die of ear bleeding if I stay here any longer. Just, bye! And I hope you fall off the window," I said and pushed her out of the window. Her legs wobbled and before she could fall, I caught her collar and pulled her in. She trembled in fear and sweat formed over her forehead. Her lips pursed into a thin line and I smirked. I flipped my hair and stormed out of the room.
