"Ted, please. Come on, I can at least invite you to dinner," I pleaded him. He shook his head."I shouldn't, I too have to dine with my family tonight."
"But, hey! Our timezones are different, right?" I reminded him and he sighed. "Listen, Dad's bringing a guest too. And Poppy is inviting her best friends too. My parents would love to have you."
"Fine, then I'll come," He agreed. I smiled triumphantly.
"You can bring Bobby too."
"Not a chance on earth. You want him to know about all this closet secret thing? He would never leave the closet then and would stick to it like a bug on glue," He said and I laughed. I wanted some of Ted's friends to come too, but then I didn't want to create a mess about our secret.

"Hello, Mister and Misses Snow. Thank you for having me over here," Ted said and gave a large bouquet of flowers to my mother.
"I'm glad you came son. And you needn't bring anything," Mum said and admired the flowers in her hand. She added, "These look exotic. I have not seen them around anywhere before."
"I erm got it er plucked it from wild trees and sewed up the leaves. I - I stitched the stem and - "
"I'M SO HUNGRY, GOD!" I cut off Ted before he cooks up an absurd excuse for the flowers.
"Poppy, being your friends to the dining room," Mum called for Poppy and her friends. They ran downstairs giggling and whispering to each other. They were two of them, I don't particularly remember their names. All I knew that the blonde girl was the toothless, twig like figure one with weird fetishes for fingers. The other one was the brunette with abnormally large boobs (for a fourteen year old) hanging low, too much curved nostrils and almost a half dozen of boyfriends! But then again, who was I to judge people?
They stopped and looked rather drooled at Ted. Poppy introduced them to Ted who seemed to innocently exchange greetings. I ignored the girls flirty glances towards Ted as I scrunched my nose. Kids these days . . .
"Can we go now and start eating?" I asked mum.
"Dad's friend has not yet arrived, honey. We have to wait for him too," Mum said as she proceeded towards the kitchen. Ted was politely and sweetly replying to the girls though I didn't miss the uninterested and helpless looks he threw at me. I muffled a laughter and encouraged the girls to carry on.
The door bell rang. I ran to attend the door as Ted too excused himself. He followed me and was thankful to God that he was saved by those hormonal kids.
"Only your sister is cool. Others are a pain in the wrong side," Ted muttered and I giggled. I opened the door and looked up to a very familiar face. Ted was standing close by and I could feel his body tense. My throat turned dry when I recognized him to be none other than Ted's father.
"Mister Snow? I'm his friend from the golf club," Ted's dad introduced. He too had this puzzled expression written over his face. I was afraid he might recognize us, especially Ted whose heart was beating so quickly and loudly that I could feel it.
