As we walk up to the double doors, I look up at my boyfriend. He's so cute. He's smiling a squinty smile, and holding my hand tightly. He opens the door to the rink, and walks over to the rentals. He hands me a pair of skates, that look like they might fit me.
"Here you go, ma lady." Josh says, as I blush. He pecks my lips with his soft ones. I plop down on a bench and he sits next to me. I slip one on, and it fits comfortably. He kneels down without thinking and ties it for me. I put the other one on, and once again Josh ties it for me. He then puts his on and leads me to the rink. Happily, he steps on.
I take his hands, and using them for leverage, step on to the ice. I clutch the wall immediately and Josh wraps his long, strong arms around me. I blush, and regain my balance. We skate around for a while, and then finally the speaker booms 'Can everyone clear the ice please." The announcer speaks. Every one rushes to the exits.
Everyone but us.
Josh skates me over to the middle. He reaches in to his pocket, and hides something behind his back. I look at him, puzzled, then he gets on one knee. I gasp, and a tear escapes my eye. He looks up at me.
"Y/N Y/L/N, will you give me the pleasure of being in the most wonderful girl's life, and marry me? You have made these last few years an amazing ride."
I look at him, now crying. "Y-yes, Josh, of course I will."
He shoots up and hugs me tightly. We skate off, towards the entrance. I'm so glad that I will be able to be in this man's life.
