The thunder boomed outside. The storm was raging, and the wind was kicking up. Josh, my boyfriend, was in our room sleeping. I was playing Xbox. There was a streaks of light, illuminating the coffee table in front of me. With another crack of thunder, everything went dark. The whir of the Xbox went silent. The flashing TV went off. It was an eerie silence, mixed with rain. Normal people would be find with this. But I was deathly afraid of the dark.
"Josh?" I whispered. "Joshy, please?" I whispered slightly louder. I heard knocking around and light switches being flicked. "Josh, the power went out." I said realizing he was confused.
"Oh. That makes sense" I saw his bright yellow hair in the darkness. He sat down next to me and wrapped me in a fluffy blanket. I ruffled his yellow hair and and nuzzled my head under his chin. I soon fell asleep with him hugging me tightly.
