I laid down on the soft blanket, my boyfriend put down under the tree. He laid down next to me, putting his arm around my shoulder. I smiled, just staring up into the sky. "Do you think aliens exist?" I asked.
"Of course." He said without hesitation. "I mean, think about it. There's so much unexplored. They have to be out there."
"I agree. If they're not in this universe, than they could be in another. I find it hard to believe that humans are the only intelligent beings. If you can call us intelligent." I laughed. Josh nodded. We were silent for a while. Then after several moments he sighed.
"I wish we could just build a rocketship, and just fly to another universe, where everything was happy, and there was no sadness. I hate our society. It's filled with so much hate." He said.
"Yeah, but that would never happen, because without sadness, you don't know what happiness is. Because if your always happy, then it's just normal. And then eventually that happiness will just turn into sadness, and create a viscous cycle." I explained. We spent the rest of the night, just staring at the sky.
