As you gripped Josh's hand you stepped through the door. He had taken you to the carnival and insisted on going through the haunted mansion. You hated things like this, but he talked you into it. You trembled as soon as you got in, wondering when the next jump scare would appear.
Josh noticed and put his arm around your waist. "It's okay." He whispered. You continued walking following the arrows. He held onto you tightly. As you turned the corner, you began to relax, but a skeleton jumped out at you.
Screaming in terror, you hid your face in Josh's jacket, shaking softly. He hugged you and whispered in your ear. "Don't worry, Y/N, I'll always protect you."
