We looked at the cameras. Brianna was crazy. I mean I already knew that, but she was going CRAZY. She was yelling at her men and strangling them. Especially if they did the wrong thing or made a mistake. They were all trying to get through Aiden's door. I looked more closely at their cars.
"Hey look, the tags are still on there; meaning we can figure out where they're hiding out" I tried to zoom in.
"Um, how do you-?" I asked. Aiden walked up and hovered over me "Here let me."
He zoomed in and then leaned against the edge of the computer desk with his hands.
"There, New York, 19A8D02H" he said.
"Can you run a tag on this?"
"No, but I know where we can."
I looked up at him and he looked down at me with a smirk on his face.
"The police department."
I knew exactly what this meant. We had to sneak in at night while it was closed and use their computer to run the tag numbers. I decided to write them all down -- just in case. Afterwards, I walked out the garage and got ready for sneaking in a police department. Yeah, we're totally not looking for trouble.
I ran up the stairs to my room. I looked at my outfit that I used for these situations. I held it up.
"Well, let's get into a little bit of trouble, shall we?" I put on my black sleek uniform, some holsters, and my stealthy boots (that were usually quiet). I redid my ponytail, and walked out.
Although this was only sneaking in, we couldn't take any chances. If Brianna found us, which she could with the right equipment, then we would need to get them out of the way. Plus, Aiden knows we need to take precautions.
Aiden walked out in a black outfit as well. He looked at me for a few seconds.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing, just never seen you in uniform" he said.
"Okay. Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah c'mon let's go."When we got there it was the easiest thing ever. Pick this lock and this lock and hack into this computer. That's it. I expected it to be easy.
But this is a little too easy...
I pushed the thought aside and looked up the tag number.
"Okay, so, it says here that it was close to Brooklyn" I said.
"I know a few good hiding spots in that area of Brooklyn" he said.
I looked at him.
"Really?" I cocked and eyebrow.
"Yeah" he replied.
"Hmh, okay" I looked back at the computer. That's when I knew that I should've listened to that little voice saying it was too easy. Brianna's recruits came out guns blazing. I instinctively ducked and tackled Aiden to the ground.
"Jesus Christ!" He said.
"I knew this was too easy" I said.
"C'mon we've got to get out of here" I added. I pulled out my ninja stars from my side pockets and threw them at different people. Aiden pulled out a .45 and started shooting. At times I duck and had to turn around to shoot my gun a few times. Then I grabbed Aiden and made a break for it. At times Aiden and I had to turn and shoot, but we ran as fast as we could. Aiden kept up, and which I was a little suprised; bullets flew past me as I ran to the doors. I ran to the Ferrari with Aiden trailing behind me, opened the doors, and jumped in.
"AIDEN DRIVE!" I yelled.
He blasted out of the parking lot. The tires squealed and he turned it to fourth gear and booked it. We were going about one fifty miles an hour. I looked back and other cars followed behind us through the dust.
Three black cars were booking it down the street. Aiden was going even faster, but the cars still trailed behind us on our tail. Then they started shooting. Aiden and I ducked a few times to miss the bullets.
An idea clicked in my mind. It was mad, but it was mad enough to work.
"Aiden I'm about to do something INSANE, do you trust me?" I took off my seatbelt.
He looked at me for a few seconds
"Don't get killed, promise?"
"Fine promise" I opened the hatch at the top of the roof car and crawled on top of the roof carefully. I went in three point position --- then I was on one knee --- then I was slowly on my feet. Getting on my feet seemed like a good idea then I knelt back down after a bullet flew passed me and Aiden jerked the wheel. I was still on the roof and was okay, but for now on I would not be getting on the roof of a car on my feet.
My ponytail was whipping around my neck and little around my face. I pulled out my gun from my holster and used my bullets. I shot at the tires and the windows. Surprisingly it worked. The cars started going in all different directions and the tires squealed this way and that. They crashed into some other cars and some crashed into a wall. I felt bad about the cars crashing into citizens cars, but a girls got to do what a girls got to do. I shot a few more bullets at the cars and so far they were off our trail. I carefully and quickly got back in the car. I closed the hatch and sat in the front seat.
"WOO!" Aiden hit the side of his steering wheel.
"Damn Alice! That was insane...I like it" he smirked at me. I smiled at him.
"Yeah, I'm known to be a little insane" I said. He drove all the way back to the safe house. After we got back into our casual clothes, we went and sat in the dining room and ate dinner. It was late, yeah, but we hadn't had dinner yet.
"So, Brianna set a big trap for us" Aiden said. I nodded.
"Basically. I knew I should've said something about it being too easy" I looked at the floor.
"It's not your fault, Alice. You didn't know that she'd come and find us" he said. I put my fork down, interlinked my fingers, and rested my head on them.
"Yeah, well I'm tired and I'll see you in the morning" I got up and put my dishes in the sink. I cleaned them, and went upstairs, took a shower, and put on my pajamas. This time, I put on a grey tank top, black sweatpants, and put my hair in a messy bun. I closed my eyes and that was probably the biggest mistake I have ever made.
I slipped into another nightmare.
Stupid. You shouldn't have closed your eyes, I scolded myself.
