Peggy's POV:
I was driving for hours and stopping at gas stations from time to time using all of the money I had for gas and granola bars. I've had only three granola bars stashed in the back and about six cups of coffee. I had to stay awake. Although New York City was 3 hours away I was tired as hell from work and school. I stopped at the third gas station for another lattè and a bathroom. I went to the bathroom and washed my hands and face. I put a stray strand of my, brown short, hair behind my ear and took a breath. I looked at my face filled with freckles. I didn't necessarily like my freckles but everyone else did. I put my hands on each side of the sink. Inhale. Exhale.
I was a bit nervous to see Alice. I knew Alice for a long time. I just don't know how much she's changed.
With that I opened the door and walked out, with my latté in hand, gassed up, and stepped on the gas pedal. About a an hour later I was in New York, New York. It was beautiful place. I bet traffic during the the daytime was terrible. I was tired as hell. I decided I would stop at a motel for the night until Alice appeared in my backseat. "What the -- ? Peggy?"
"Alice!"
