(Sid's POV)

"Hello, Shakun ?" I answered my call made by Shakun Batra , one of our Dharma director (Ek main hu aur ek tu fame)

"Yeah Sid! I would go straight with what I want to say, no tongue twisting in profession. I want to approach you with my next Dharma flick. It is a dysfunctional family drama with romantic triangle embedded in it...twist bhi!" 

Hmm , sounds great.

"Cool. Would be interesting to do one such pukka drama movie. Well, am I the first one approached or you've finalised the others ?" "Nopes! I've finalised the rest of the cast. You're approached much later" he chuckled at the other end.

"Who are the other actors ?" I asked. "The main character of grandfather is played by Rishi Kapoor saheb. Your parents played by Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak. Your elder brother by Fawad Khan" he said in one ragged breath. "That's a whole lot of biggie wiggie cast. I need to see the final draft of the script myself before any confirmation and also have a look at my schedule and gotta date manage with my PA , I'm still unsure about my nod to this one."

I replied with a sad tone. Really loved the idea though. 

"Oh! It would be really cool if you could make it. Do tell me your decision by the weekend. And ya, screen test is on coming Friday with Fawad and Alia!" 

Ok...huh? wait! 

With fawad and ALIA ? 

What is Alia going to do there ? 

My heart skipped several beats at the mention of her name, as usual.

"What's Alia doing there ?" I asked with much anticipation trying to NOT LOOK MUCH IMPATIENT.

"I didn't told you right ? She is the lead actress paired opposite you and Fawad! She said an immediate yes after the narration by me. So sweet of her to say 'yes' to not a full length role in just the start of her career" he said with beaming pride in his voice.

Alia is in the film! If I said yes, it would be our second film together after SOTY. I damn don't wanna lose this oppurtunity for anything in this world. My heart leaps of joy like a maniac frog. I wanted to jump and dance with jubilation like a kid.
