"who you two are texting ?" Hannah asked me and Em before plopping down between us on the couch

"who are you texting ?"i asked Em
"just Logan "she answered a blush creeping up her cheeks , Logan has been showing his face in this apartment a lot lately and i have a good suspicion why

"so what ?i'm just going out "i answered quickly escaping to the kitchen so she wouldn't ask for answers ,but of course she followed me with Emma in tow
"you're going out on a date "she screeched jumping up and down and clapping her hands making me roll my eyes at her
"who is he ?" Em asked me but her eyes was on Hannah's spectacle ,she doesn't know that i haven't got out or even thought about going out on a date in two years ,that's why Hannah is acting like a kid getting candy
"don't you need to head up for your study group ?"Dean was going to be here any minute
"they can wait "she said grinning at me with Hannah
"Guys"i pleaded wanting an out of this
"it's my brother isn't it ?"Em asked grinning like the devil
"OH My God "Hannah screamed making me put my hands over my ears "you're dating the Hottest guy on campus "her eyes nearly bugged out
"it's about time ,he's been running after you like a lost puppy since i moved here "Emma muttered
"we're not dating ,it's just one date "i told Hannah then turned to Em "he hasn't been running after me like a lost puppy "
"he didn't used to visit in my old apartment like he is now after i moved here .and when he's here all you two keep doing is give each other these hot looks "she winked "i know my brother ,and i know he's got the hots for you "
just then there was a knock at the door and the girls turned to me with wide ,expectant eyes
"Open it "Hannah said but when i refused to budge,she ran to the door herself
The door swung open to reveal Dean in his low-slung jeans and a black button down shirt
"come in Dean "Hannah opened the door wider ,allowing him to step inside
"Hannah it's nice to see you "he greeted her and she gulped
"you know me ?"
he gave her a crooked grin "we met at that party a few weeks ago ,you're Alex's girlfriend "
she nodded smiling at him like an adoring fan ,Alex is forgotten now
"little sis "he nodded to his sister
"stop calling me that" she grumbled heading to her room
"so what are you kids planning to do ?"Hannah asked making me horrified
"we have to get going "i said ,grabbing his arm and attempting to haul him out the door before she could embarrass me some more
"i'm taking her to dinner "he replied enjoying the attention a little too much ,he took my hand ,and then leaned in and planted a kiss on my cheek .i melted on the spot ,my free hand absently clutching his shirt
i pulled Dean out the open door ,pausing when i realized i didn't have my purse "hold on "
i walked back in and reached for my purse on the couch before leaving ,but Hannah grabbed my arm and gave me a peck on the cheek
it's been two years since i went out on a real date ,it's sad i know ,but i had my reasons
so to say i'm nervous would be the understatement of the year ,i'm literally shaking and terrified that i'll blow this whole date away ,and then i'll lose the only person that made everything in me come alive
"the restaurant is right next to campus so i didn't bring my car ,we can walk "he said and i nodded walking next to him in silence
he was so close to me his hand kept brushing against mine every few seconds and i could see him stealing glances at me just like i was doing ,God we were like clueless teenagers
"i never went out on a date before "he blurted making me look at him with my mouth open
"you're kidding me ?you never went out on a date with your ex girlfriend ?"
he scratched the back of his neck looking sheepish "i never had a girlfriend before "and it hit me ,of course he never had a girlfriend ,he sleeps around just like the rumors say
"then why did you ask me out ?"i crossed my arms
"when i first saw you ,i just wanted to have you in my bed for one night and nothing more "he said and i scowled at him
he smiled "but then i got to know you and i found out you're nothing like the girls i'm used to and i liked that a lot "he smiled looking embarrassed and i almost swooned "i want more with you "he took my hand in his entwining our fingers "i want the whole deal "
i couldn't help the stupid grin that crossed my face as we continued our walking together hand in hand ,it's been a long time since i felt wanted by someone and i thought in that moment that i do deserve to be happy not guilty and move on.
