Chapter 6: attempted escape #2

Carter's P.O.V

I gazed in to the mirror. My face was drained and my make-up had wore off. I needed a shower, but I doubt he'd let me get one. I opened up the bathroom door and hobbled out. I saw Jason waiting there for me. He had a look of panic on his face. "We have to leave now," He said. He picked me up bridal style and left the crutches behind us. He began running out of the house really fast. "What's going on!?" I asked.

BOOM! I covered my ears and Jason pulled my head to his chest. We went flying forward and I let out a squeal. "Fuck," Jason said. He then picked me back up and I looked back to see Jason's house blown to bits. "Are you alright?" He asked. I just nodded my head because I had no idea what was going on. He took his phone out of his pocket. He looked really worried. He put his phone up to his ear.

"Ryan... They got into my house... It's completely blown up... Yeah, yeah. I know you told me so... Where's the rest of the gang?... Is Jenna there?... Is she alright?... Shut it Ryan!... Can we stay at your place for a while?... Kay thanks dude I'll be over in a few," Jason said, hanging up the phone.

He looked down at my foot. "We need to get you something for that," he said motioning his head down to my ankle. "Yeah," I mumbled. He started to carry me over to his mustang. Thank god the car wasn't parked too close to the house or it would of went with the explosion too. He sat me down in the seat and buckled my seat belt for me. He smiled at me and closed the car door. He smiled at me? What the actual fuck? Oh well.

He got inside the car and started the engine. He started to drive through this odd pathway that I think led to the city, but I don't know for sure. "Aren't you mad about your house?" I asked quietly. "Nah, I have another house in Las Vegas. We'll be staying there soon," He said emotionless. I turned around to face the window. I felt tears stinging my eyes. We are going to Las Vegas? What about my parents? I sniffled a little and squeezed my eyes shut. "Are you seriously crying?" I heard Jason ask. "N-no," I lied. "Bullshit, don't lie to me," he hissed. "Too late, I already did," I spat back at him, gaining enough courage. "You are so lucky that hitting girls isn't my thing..." He trailed off. "Well, you already threw me on to the ground," I said.

"Yeah I got really mad. I probably won't do something like that again unless you really deserve it," he said, calming down a little. "I hope you know you're going to hell," I sneered. "Fuck you," He muttered. I sighed deeply and leaned my head onto the window before I found myself drifting into a dreamless sleep.

---

"Wake up!" Someone yelled. My eyes shot open, and I found myself laying on a couch. I looked up to see Jason standing there. "JENNA!" He yelled. I heard footsteps coming our way. "Yeah Jay?" Her sweet voice chirped. "Can you help me with her ankle. I think we have to wrap it up," he told her and she nodded. "I'll go get the first aid kit," she said and she skipped away. She's one happy girl. I miss being happy. "So... Carter what's your middle name?" Jason asked. "What's it to you?!" I spat. I'm done being afraid of him. DONE. "Just trying to start a conversation," he said putting his hands up in defense.

"Oh yeah, because I would love to have a conversation with the boy who practically ruined my life," I replied with sarcasm lacing in my words. "Oh shut the hell up Carter! I ain't all bad," he defended.

"You are right. You aren't bad... You're horrible," I yelled. His jaw clenched and his eyes got dark. "I got the things Jay!" Jenna interrupted. He unclenched his jaw and took the things from Jenna. "Thanks princess," he said. "No problem Jay. Now let me check your ankle," she said, looking at me. She sat down by my foot and began to poke it and examine it. "Jay we need to wrap it up. It's sprained really bad, it's not quite broken though," she explained. He handed her the wrap and she took it and started to wrap it tightly around my ankle. I hissed at the pain. "I'm sorry," she apologized. "Don't say sorry to her. She deserves it," Jason said.

"Jason quit being an asshole!" She scolded. "I'm not being an asshole!" Jason defended. "Just leave her alone Jason! She didn't do anything to you. You're just being a jerk," Jenna said before getting up and leaving the room.

Jenna's P.O.V

That's it I'm going to help her escape. I don't care if I'm going against Jay's orders. I ran up to the guest room where I kept my planning notebook and my pens. I sat down at the desk with my notebook and I began to draw out a plan. No girl deserves this. I'm going to help her escape tonight and I'll just have to handle the consequences from Jason, but I know for a fact he won't  put his hands on me, considering that I'm his princess.

---

I finished the plan and I looked at my clock. It's was 2:00 am and Jason and the gang are asleep right now. I left the room and tiptoed down the steps. Jason was really smart and really good at figuring things out, so I better not screw this up.

I made my way to the living room and saw her sleeping on the couch. I slowly tiptoed over to her. "Psst... Carter," I whisper-yelled. "Yeah?" She asked. "I'm getting you out of this mess. Hop on my back," I whispered.

She slowly sat up and I bent down. She grabbed onto my shoulders and she pulled herself up on to my back. Damn, she was really light. I began to walk through the house until I made my way to the front door. I unlocked it and tiptoed out. I then ran to my car and went to the other side and put Carter on the seat. I started to run to the other side of my car before a voice stopped me. "Where are you going Jenna?!" A voice hissed.

Fuck.

It was Jason's voice.

I snapped my head around to see Jason standing there with the dirtiest look on his face. I just froze and started to think. Alright, he was standing at least eight feet away, I can make it. I then opened the car door and started the engine and pulled out of the driveway in the matter of seconds. I drove down the street. I was going at least 80 mph.

I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw Jason's mustang right behind me. I began to panic and so did Carter. "Where's your house?" I said. "My address is 412 Oakwood Drive," she said. "Alright that's all the way across town. We might have to stay in some sort of motel as soon as I get Jason off  of our tail!" I said. But before I knew it I felt a jolt and I saw that Jason had hit my bumper.

He then hit it again, and again, and again. "Carter I don't know if we can do this," I confessed. "Fucking wonderful," She mumbled. My phone then started to ring and I answered without looking at the caller ID.

"H-hello?" I said, taking a sharp turn.

"You fucking traitor! I can't believe you picked her over your own brother, who took care of you for years!" Jason screamed into the phone. Guilt then started to rush through me.

"Jason just let her go please," I begged, ignoring what he said to me before.

"You realize Johnson would have me dead in a heartbeat if he realized that I let the girl go? Do you even fucking care? Jenna pull the car fucking over now or I'll do it for you!" He screamed.

I then sighed and pulled over. He won.
I should've known. Jason always wins...
