Epilogue
Attention: You HAVE to read the ending of the epilogue. I know it will be sad and stuff throughout the epilogue but you HAVE, I repeat, HAVE to read this whole thing and the epilogue to understand what really happened. Okay? Okay.

Nobody’s P.O.V
*Three years later*
Chaz and Ryan walked up the pathway that led to the little memorial that was dedicated to Jason and Carter. There was only a little town that was on the island that Jason and Carter once lived in and the town’s people were so upset about their deaths that they had a memorial for Carter and Jason, even though Jason was a criminal.
Nobody knew what had happened to Carter and Jason besides Johnson, Ryan, and Chaz. The town just thought that it was a cooking accident that started the fire, but they were dead wrong. Carter’s parents thought the same, but they did have their suspicions.
Chaz knelt down near the little memorial and he placed bright pink tulips by it. The guilt was eating Chaz alive because it was all his fault. He killed his best friend just because he was upset and jealous. He would never forgive himself, although, Ryan felt the complete opposite. Ryan didn’t care about his actions at all, he just came to the memorial with Chaz every couple months because Chaz is his best friend.
Ryan enjoyed the thought that Jason was finally gone. If you have noticed, Ryan has always been jealous of Jason for many reasons. Ryan wanted to be in charge of everyone and he always wanted to be Johnson’s favorite, but Jason was already Johnson’s favorite and – of course – Jason was in charge. Ryan wanted to be strong like Jason. Actually, Ryan wanted to be Jason.
“Jason would’ve been twenty-one.” Chaz mumbled, trying to hold back his tears. Regret fired through Chaz’s body as he thought about Carter and Jason.
He knew that Carter and Jason were probably up in heaven, fighting, because Jason was flirting with another hot angel. Jason was always the type to try to make other people jealous and that was what intrigued Chaz the most about him.
Chaz also knew that they’re probably having the time of their ‘lives’ up in heaven, while he is living a regret-filled life on earth.
Chaz also assumed that Jason was treating Carter like the angel that she is, and they’re probably laughing, dancing, and doing whatever makes them happy.
“Jason was so excited to turn twenty-one, even though he already drank underage.” Chaz stated. Chaz let out an emotionless laugh. Ryan couldn’t help but to feel bad for his best friend, but he also couldn’t help but feel that Chaz was being pathetic.
‘Jason deserved this’ Ryan thought.
“I will never forget the night that we set up that date for Carter and Jason, man. That was so fun and it was so nice to see Jason happy again. After all, he lost his baby sis and it was amazing how Carter was able to fill the hole in his heart that Jenna had left. Why did we do this? I can’t stand the fact that we killed our best friend just because we were fucking jealous. He was so fucking happy with Carter and we had to ruin that. He finally had it good in life and we took that away from him. Why? Why did I have to be so stupid?” Chaz said as tears fell from his eyes. Ryan just shrugged, carelessly picking at his nails.
As for Johnson, he died six months ago. He suffered from a heart attack and he died fifteen minutes after it had happened. Nobody knows where he is buried or where he is at because frankly, nobody cares.
Chaz stood up from the memorial, wiping his glossy eyes. “It’s just weird, man. It doesn’t even feel like they’re gone. I feel like they’re still here with us.” Chaz cried. Ryan patted his back and muttered, “I know Chaz, I know.”
Maybe Chaz is right.
