It took two months for Edd to remember who he was completely, and three for him to be able to walk without limping.  He didn't remember many people when he woke up, not even his parents (I was fortunate to be the one he remembered most).  It made them sad at first, but they understood.  He trusted them as his parents in two weeks, and they didn't leave for another trip for five months.

Edd and I finished high school together, and came out as boyfriends during graduation.  As everyone threw their graduation caps into the air, Edd and I kissed.  The mortarboard rain wasn't as romantic as I would have liked, but the kiss was still perfect.

And eventually, Edd and I started college and bought a small apartment for ourselves (thanks to the money I saved after getting a job as a line chef in a restaurant).

But we had a lot of hard times during our relationship.

The rent took a lot of our money and since we worked whenever we weren't in school to pay off the debts, we didn't spend a lot of time enjoying ourselves.  We fought a lot over money and what should and shouldn't be bought.  I can't even count the amount of times the front door was slammed by one of us in a post-fight angry haze.  And sometimes I wondered if I should just leave.

But then Edd will lose himself and forget who he is, resulting in either an awful existential crisis or an anxiety attack.  It was usually at night when he got it the worst.  He'd cry and tell me that he's scared that some day he'll wake up and be a stranger.  Or worse, he'd think I'm a stranger.  It reminded me why I'm here.

Though, it wasn't all bad.  I began learning things about Edd I never knew, like how he hums to Für Elise by Beethoven when he brushes his teeth or how when he sleeps without me in bed he curls into a tight ball.  Or maybe how when he cooks, he sways his hips and sings to Franz Schubert operas.

So, yeah.  I guess you could say that we're happy now.  We're finally just doing our thing, and even though we have a lot of stuff we're worrying about, I'm glad that it's no longer childish things.  And I'm especially glad that Edd is doing well.

Life is pretty great right now.

And thus ends my first book and fanfiction ever!  I'm sorry if this isn't the best ending, but I think that it fits.  After all that chaos of death and worry and tears, we finally have something mellow, yknow?  But anyway, thank you so much for reading!

I'm so lucky to have had such amazing readers during my first novel, and I'm so grateful to have made so many new friends!  Thank you so much for helping me climbing to the top of the Random list and making my journey writing this an amazing experience!

I am usually very hard on myself when it comes to writing, and usually tell myself that it isn't good enough (also typically why I didn't have chapters posted regularly).  But your comments and likes help me very, very much!  Without you guys, none of this would have happened.

But, unfortunately, I grudgingly must depart.  This was an amazing experience, and thank you for sharing this with me!  Have an amazing week, and don't forget to check out my new kevedd fic called Flower Boy coming out October 1st!  Also DM me or comment if you want to talk for any reason!

Thank you, and goodbye.

Ajax Miller.
