The sound of the bell ringing for first period and  numerous footsteps scurrying to get to class ring against my ears. I keep my head down, knowing exactly where my locker resides, but not wanting anyone to look at me nor I accidentally look at them. When I reach my destination I hurriedly spin the lock.

I take my English books out of my backpack and throw everything else in my locker, slamming it shut afterwards.

             "Hey, Rae."

I'd recognize that high pitched voice anywhere.

"Hi, Ariel. Look I don't want any trouble okay? I really need to get to cla-," Before I could finish my sentence, I feel a sharp pain against my jaw. My head hits the hard tile floor and I groan with agonizing pain. Ariel bends down to where I can see her eyes meet mine. She brings her lips near my ear, her hot breath beating the side of my face.

"Stay the fuck away from Aiden."

"I-I don't know what you're-"

"Shut up. Word gets around fast. Just know he's not interested in your cross eyed looking ass. He's got me and only needs me. So stay the hell away." A joker type smile then crosses her face as she slowly jumps right up.

"Ta-ta" She then scurries away, trying to shake what she doesn't have.

I glare deep holes into her back as I rub my throbbing jaw, which will surely be highly swollen later.

"What the actual fuck..." I mumble. I position myself, grab my scattered books and notes and head to class. It's actually funny that there were so many witnesses to what just occurred, yet no one wanted to step in. I could hear all the shushed whispers as I proceeded down the hallway.

"Yeah, I heard she totally fucked Aiden!"

"I heard that she flung herself on Aiden just to get revenge on Ariel."

"Ha! Well, I heard Aiden just had pity on the poor girl ever since her accident. He probably just wanted to make her feel 'normal' for once. Ha-ha, that's going to take a lot of time to get her anywhere near 'normal'."

I'm used to hearing all of the rumors and gossip. My tear ducts have long since dried out, so I just carried on.

"Well, nice of you to join us Ms. McKinley, please find an available seat and turn to page 95 in your textbook."

"Sorry, Mr. Stu. It wont happen again." I nod and slowly scan the room. There's only one seat left and its in the far back next to who else but Aiden Mathews. Just my luck.

I make my way towards the back of the room and sit down. I grab the text book and go to page 84... or was it 59. Crap. If I raise my hand all eyes will be on me, and I can't take anymore attention than I've already gotten less than 5 minutes ago.

"Its page 95." I see a hand grab my textbook page and flip to page 95. I look up with my eyes wide open.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Why so late though? I thought you got into the building before I did."

How did he not know about the incident that just literally happened. Everyone else knew...

"I...had to pee."

He looked at me with a questionable amusement in his eyes. His gorgeous, gorgeous brown eyes.

"You had... to pee? Really Rae," He laughs softly. "That's the best you've got? Ok then tell me what's up with the blue and black looking spot starting to form around your jaw."
