"Oh, damn. I didn't mean to shoot him through the back, Rae. Honest to God I was aiming for the head."

I look up at Leonardo holding the gun against his heart with his lips pouting.

"You're a fucking monster." I growl.

It obviously doesn't faze him as he belts out a huge laugh, flinging his head back and wiping a fake tear from his eye.

"Sweetie, I've been called much worse than a "fucking monster". Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words definitely don't hurt me."

I have no emotion left in me, not even hatred. I just have a cold nothing flowing through my veins and my body, and right now nothing even matters. I look back down at Aiden's head laying peacefully on my lap, all colour drained from his face but he was still breathing. Shallow breathing, but still alive. I clench my jaw and slowly lay his head down onto the ground, letting myself up to face the devil himself.

"It ends today, Leo." My hands turn into fists by my side and I see he notices.

"I'm guessing you're the one who's going to stop me right? Well there's something you're forgetting, Rae."

He wags his gun in the air. "I'm the one with the weapon."

He's right. I don't have anything to defend myself except a lousy baton, and even If I did it didn't stand a chance against a damn bullet. But I didn't let him see that I was nervous or frightened as to what I would do.

"Looks like someone doesn't have any more Ideas up her sleeves now, huh? Shame."

I had to buy myself some time.

"Just answer me this one question."

"They always have one last question, what is it?" He sighs, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Why all of this? Why did you even start all of this crap?"

I let out a breath of air, think of a plan while he explains himself.

"Well, I guess before you die you should know the truth. I've been lying about some things, and you never get the right story so let me set it straight. Your mother loved you with all of her fucking heart, all of it. You father met her when he was thirty and she was fifteen. Ha, that son of a bitch always got the hot, young ones. Anyways, eventually they started going out and she ended up getting pregnant, the stupid bitch, thus making your father ending up asking for her hand in marriage. She said yes, infuriating her parents, so they kicked her out. I tried to tell him that he was making a fucking mistake that he should've dumped the whore and moved on with his life, but he refused. They ended up having you. She didn't know about the things me and your father did. But because of you, he explained everything to her and tried to get out of our business. So I killed her thinking that would change his mind but It made him want to quit even more. He wanted to expose us to the police and I couldn't have that. He was a smart man though. He hired someone to look after you and I couldn't find you for a long ass time because you both moved. When I finally tracked you down, I couldn't let you out of my grip again. Your father left something very important with you. Literally inside of you. That's why I needed you dead or locked up."

Leonardo shakes his head with a smile in remembrance.

 "What's in me?"

"A chip."

"A chip that contains what?"

"Information about my business and what I do. Who I've killed. Who's helped. You probably don't know or even realize It's there because It's been so long ago that he placed it. I just don't know where..." He starts looking over my body.
