"Sit down, Aiden."
I nod my head and lick my now drying lips, sitting down on the black swivel chair. This all isn't adding up at all.
"I bet you're wondering what all is happening, huh?" He sighs deeply. "Well , son. Here's the thing. Leonardo, or should I say Officer Dave pays money well. He has been for years. I met him kind of around the time you were starting high school, he was a friend of your mother's. We hung around and got to be close friends, one day he ended up telling me about his twin brother's kid. He really has a thing out for his side of the family. He killed your friend's mother and father and pretended to be him. Anyway, like I said he pays well. So, after convincing me, I helped him. I was the one who cleaned up Jason's mess ups."
"Who's Jason?" I ask nervously.
"Ariel's father. The man you killed." I breathe and close my eyes, banging my fist on the table.
"Shit !"
"Language son. Yeah, he was a good guy. Weird and obsessed but good in his own way." He laughs.
I wanted to strangle his neck. My eyes were closed, but my eyeballs felt like they were about to burst past my eyelids. My hands in fists, my legs angrily shaking and a vein popping out, I thought about consequences in order to calm myself down. I hear my dad walk over in front of me and place his strong hand on my shoulder, squeezing it encouragingly.
"Son , join us. Your girlfriend, Ariel, did. I mean of course we had to do a little convincing, but you guys can have as much fun as you want. It's a win-win. Come on, Aiden.
"Ariel is in this?"
"Of course she is." He looks surprised by my question. "How could you not realize that? She hates the girl more than anything in the world because her father was so obsessed with her for so long. Her dad also couldn't tell the difference between a daughter and a girlfriend so Ariel was pretty much both to him." He shakes his head and laughs again. "May his soul rest in peace. I know Ariel's soul will rest now." He smiles. "Let me take you somewhere while you process everything I've just told you."
My eyes dug into his face. I wanted him to see how much hate I had for him now. I wanted him to see the pain he was causing his only child. He didn't seem to care.
"Where?" I ask.
"You'll see."

The pounding of my head is what woke me from an unsatisfactory slumber. I groan and place my hand on my head. Lifting the top of my body, I try to unsuccessfully straighten myself as my head bumps something cold and hard. Not helping this head problem at all. My eyes are fully open now but I can't see anything. Everything is dark. I spread out my hands to only touch harder, cold things. I finally realize that I'm in some sort of metal, rectangular coffin. I lay my hands out, trying to touch every corner to see if there's anything I can use to see.
My hand grabs something, but I quickly let it go when I hear the squeak of a rat. Continuing to scramble around, I grab something that felt like a flashlight. Bingo. I quickly turn it on and my thoughts were confirmed. It is a coffin, and It is made of metal, just a little bigger than the size of my body. There's a hole towards one end of it, probably where the rat came from, and dirt starting to fill it.I'm underground. I frantically move the flashlight around to see a tube coming out of the coffin. I bring my mouth to it and scream.
"Hello ! Anybody?!"
After a few moments of hearing nothing. I sit back and accept my dire faith. I'm going to die down here. If not from loneliness, then starvation, dehydration, death from my wounds, suffocation. I fall asleep and wait for nothing to happen. I wait to die.
