Licht is so fucking perfect - it's because he's an angel - and this idea seemed so perfect for him.

Soulmate AU in which you hear static until you hear your soulmate's voice.

Licht had sort of grown used to the constant buzzing in the back of his mind, but that didn't mean it still didn't annoy him.

The boy often found it hard to concentrate in class, with this irritating noise ringing in his ears, and soon enough piano playing was starting to get on his nerves. Not to mention the Servamp of Greed always talking his ear off when all the pianist wanted to do was relax.

Licht wasn't really too keen on meeting his soulmate, as he wasn't really the kind of guy who would be interested in love and devotion.

He didn't have time for a girlfriend, as living with a vampire was hard enough, and to be honest, he was a little worried he would mess up and end up scaring his soulmate off or something.

He was perfectly content with his current lifestyle and felt no need for love in his life when he had his piano and an annoying hedgehog to abuse.

But all of that changed when he met (f/n).

"Come on, my precious angel-cakes, it'll be fun!" Lawless begged, tugging on the arm of his Eve, who wouldn't budge from his seat.

"Why don't you just go on your own?" Licht sighed, the static in his ears bugging him more than usual that day.

Normally, it would just be a slight buzzing, but it was more violent that day, adding onto the pounding headache he had plus the annoying Servamp constantly screaming in his ear.

"Because," Lawless whined, plopping himself down onto the carpeted rug in front of Licht, still holding his hand. "I told (f/n) I would be bringing a friend with me and she's really looking forward to meeting you!"

Licht sighed.

Lawless was going to his best friend's concert that night and was adamant on bringing Licht along, claiming that her voice was like nothing ever heard before, but Licht begged to differ. He still thought his piano playing was like nothing ever heard before.

Plus, Lawless was dead set on Licht meeting his soulmate because the vampire thought it would make his Eve happier, and that was all he ever wanted for the boy.

"Listen, she's a really nice girl, and even if you aren't soulmates, you can still be friends, right?" Lawless asked, and Licht sighed again, standing up and pulling his hand out of Lawless' grip.

"Fine," he muttered, grabbing his angel backpack from behind the door and slipping on his boots. "You better be right about this (f/n) or I'll kill you."

Lawless scoffed and followed his Eve to the door. "Yeah right."

The two sat themselves at the back of the concert hall, Licht already finding himself bored before the concert had even began.

He'd heard a lot about this (f/n) (l/n) but never really listened to her music. He was too busy focusing on his piano playing to listen to other people's music.

The lights went down, and the curtains on the stage opened up to reveal a beautiful girl with shiny (skin colour) skin and gorgeous (hair colour) hair clad in a long white dress with frills around the torso, thighs and ankles.

Licht sat up based on the mere fact of how amazing the girl looked, and when she started singing, his whole world tipped upside down.

He was able to hear her voice clearly not only based on the fact that he was actually listening to her, but because the static had cleared up.

He was able to hear her crystal clear, and it felt amazing.

She sounded like an angel.

Suddenly, Licht stood up from his seat and rushed out of the auditorium, Lawless following confusedly.

"Licht, what is it?" The vampire asked, catching up with his Eve who was walking too fast for his liking.

"That girl," he started, not looking at Lawless as he continued speeding through the corridor of the theatre.

"What, (f/n)?" Lawless asked, stepping in front of Licht and starting to walk backwards in front of him. "What about her?" He asked, skipping to the other side of the boy and walking normally.

"I think she's my soulmate," Licht responded bluntly and Lawless' face lit up.

He jumped in front of Licht and grabbed his shoulders, stopping the boy from walking any further as he smiled widely at him, so wide his fangs were showing.

"Really? So your static's gone?" He asked, hopefulness filling his voice and Licht nodded.

"Yes," he responded, sounding a little irritated.

"Well, that are we doing standing around out here? Let's go see her!" Lawless exclaimed, pulling Licht along as he ran through the corridors and down the stairs to (f/n)'s dressing room.

The Servamp was allowed in those areas since he and the girl had been friends since childbirth.

"(f/n)?" He asked, knocking on the door of her dressing room, and the girl answered almost instantly.

"Lawless!" She squealed, giving her best friend a hug.

It was definitely certain that (f/n) was Licht's soulmate, as the last of the static had faded away when he heard her up close.

"Great performance by the way, your voice is as lovely as usual," the Servamp commented, and (f/n) blushed before Lawless pushed Licht in front of him. "But there's someone I want you to meet."

(f/n) looked up at Licht and smiled sweetly at him, and the boy found himself blushing at how darn beautiful she looked up close.

"You must be Licht Todoroki, Lawly has told me a lot about you. I'm (f/n) (l/n), nice to meet you," the girl introduced, sticking her hand out for Licht to shake.

Licht took her hand, but instead of shaking it, he used it to pull (f/n) closer to him so he could engulf her in a hug, wrapping both of his arms around her shoulders and burying his face in the crook of her neck.

(f/n) was surprised to say the least, but when she heard Licht's voice whisper in her ear and the static knocking at the back of her mind instantly fade away, she made no hesitation in hugging him back.

"You're an angel," he whispered softly, and (f/n)'s eyes widened before she hugged him back tightly.

"Oh my god," her voice shook as the calm sound of Licht's breathing was all she could hear. "You're my soulmate."

The two stayed like that for a few minutes, and Lawless folded his arms across his chest and leaned back against the doorframe, smirking to himself as he watched Licht pick his head up out of (f/n)'s shoulder and tip her chin up so she was looking up at him.

And the smile on the Servamp's face grew as he watched his Eve gently press his lips to (f/n)'s and tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

Never had Licht ever felt so complete in his whole life, especially not after meeting his one and only soulmate, who was an even bigger angel than he was. Absolutely beautiful.

Licht has completely overthrown my social life and now every time someone asks me a question, I strike Licht's pose and say "it's because I'm an angel" or "I'm the exception, dumbass."
