This is probably the most cliché idea ever but oh well, I think it would suit Kuro really well.

Also, this one-shot is literally me when Kuro cried in episode 9 rip.

"Tell me, brother," Tsubaki spat, holding the knife up to (f/n)'s neck, the blade nearly touching her skin. "What does love feel like? I've never felt it before and I want to know just how much it'll hurt you after I kill your pathetic little girlfriend here."

Kuro gritted his teeth, a low growl escaping his lips as his eyes beamed red.

"Put her down," he snarled, his voice low and menacing. "Put her down or I swear I'll kill you just like I killed the man who created us."

Tsubaki scoffed, balancing the handle of the knife on the tip of his finger.

"Like you would have the guts to replay that, Sleepy Ash," he teased, throwing the knife in the air and catching it at the handle before going back to holding the blade firmly at (f/n)'s neck.

The girl trembled at the ice-cold feeling of the metal against her skin, feeling a bit of blood trickle down her neck, and a few tears started to fall down her face.

"Well, tell me, brother," Tsubaki said a little louder, a small sob escaping (f/n)'s lips as her body shook in the Servamp's arms. "Why should I let this worthless human live?"

Kuro's gaze softened when he saw (f/n)'s tear-stained face and her pale, trembling body, and he suddenly felt remorse.

It was his fault she was in this situation, if he had been more firm with her about what was going on then she would be at home, safe and sound, but he just had to let her tag along.

"Tsubaki, please," he begged quietly.

"What was that? I couldn't quite hear you," Tsubaki teased, a smug grin appearing on his face.

"Please," Kuro begged, a little louder this time. "Please, just let her go; she hasn't done anything, please."

Tears started to fill the Servamp's eyes at the sight of his girlfriend so scared and helpless, and all he wanted was to have her back safe.

"Oh," Tsubaki pouted lightly, cocking his head to the side. But his look soon contorted into one of evil, and slyness as he brought the knife back slightly. "But you have."

And with that, he slashed (f/n)'s neck, blood spurting out from the wound, and at the same time as the girl let out a strangled scream, Kuro's eyes snapped open, and he shot upright in his and (f/n)'s bed, sweat and tears running down his face.

Giving himself a chance to regain his sanity, the Servamp ran a shaky hand through his hair before biting his lip and looking over at (f/n).

He let out a sigh of relief at the sight of his girlfriend sleeping peacefully next to him, but that didn't stop his tears from falling.

Climbing out of the bed, he creeped along the corridor, being careful not to wake Mahiru, who was sleeping in the room next door.

Once he found the living room of the apartment, Kuro sat down on the couch and let himself cry properly, burying his face into his hands as his tears dripped through his fingertips.

(f/n), being the light sleeper she was, heard Kuro's sobs and made no hesitation in climbing out of the bed they shared - noticing her boyfriend wasn't there on the way - and making her way to the living room.

When she saw Kuro on the couch crying, (f/n) felt her heart break a little as she walked over to where he was and sat down next to him, awkwardly hugging him from the side.

"Kuro, what's wrong?" She asked, a little surprised as this was the first time she had ever seen Kuro cry.

"Ts-Tsubaki," he managed to get out, not wanting to tell his girlfriend that he had had a nightmare.

"What did he do? Did you have a nightmare?" (f/n) asked, seeming to read Kuro like an open book.

Kuro hesitated for a moment before nodding, and (f/n) stroked his blue hair softly.

"Shh, it's ok," she cooed, playing with the ends of Kuro's hair between her fingertips. "We're both ok and Tsubaki's not gonna get to us. Mahiru's ok too and he's learning to get stronger. One day, we're going to stop Tsubaki and make it out alive, I promise."

Kuro's sobs turned to sniffles. and he looked up out of his hands and over at (f/n), who cupped his cheeks with her cold hands and wiped his tears away before gently kissing his lips.

"You don't have to cry anymore, Kuro."

Ugh, Tsubaki.
