Mikuni Arisuin ~ Mime

I never actually thought I would see myself writing for this book again let alone actually still getting requests (if you didn't know, I've taken like a five month hiatus from actually writing this book as I had like 40 one-shots saved in draft form before I started posting) but here I am!

Also, Short!Silent!Reader, now we know why this one-shot is called 'Mime'. Ha, I'm punny :')))

"We'll play together tomorrow, won't we (f/n)-chan?" Mikuni asked, excitement practically leaking through his voice and hope sparkling in his eyes.

Blushing, the girl nodded stiffly, still not being able to say words in front of the boy, not that he minded at all. He liked playing with (f/n) because she actually understood what he was talking about when he spoke to her, and she just got him all around, even if she never spoke.

"Come on, Mikuni, let's go!" His mother called out to him, and Mikuni giggled, adjusting his hat on his head before waving at the girl and running off to his parents, leaving her standing there.

"I'm really sorry (f/n)-chan," Mikuni mumbled, not having the courage to look up at his best friend. "We won't be able to play together anymore, I'm moving."

(f/n) felt tears in her eyes, and words building up in her throat but she couldn't say them. Instead, she hugged Mikuni tighter than she'd ever hugged anyone before - including her parents.

"But I promise I'll come back one day!" Mikuni exclaimed once they pulled away, grabbing her shoulders. "So don't forget me, ok!"

(f/n) nodded confidently, and Mikuni leaned in to kiss her on the cheek softly before pulling away and holding out his pinky finger.

"Pinky promise!" He ordered sternly, and (f/n) extended her arm out for him to lock his pinky with hers, and it was a promise.

He would meet her again some day.

"(f/n), come on, the owner of the place is really hot, you need to meet him!" (best friend's name) exclaimed, pushing the girl towards the front door of the antique shop.

(f/n) stepped to the side for a moment and (best friend's name) looked at her.

(f/n) frowned and gave her best friend the 'do I have to?' look.

"Yes, of course you have to!" She practically yelled, causing (f/n) to cringe.  "You need to get out more and meet some new people, not just sit around all day watching (favourite anime)! He's really nice, go on!"

Sighing inaudibly, (f/n) stepped up to the door, opening it a bit, then all the way before stepping inside, with (best friend's name) following her.

Upon hearing the bell rigged to the door ring, Mikuni turned around from one of the shelves and smiled.

"Oh, it's you again!" He exclaimed happily, directing that comment towards (best friend's name). "What can I do for you?"

"Actually, it's not me that you should be paying attention to today, it's this silent queen over here," (f/n)'s best friend teased, shoving you towards Mikuni.

She rolled your eyes at her with a blush on her face and looked up at the man. He was really tall, and looked older than (f/n) by quite a bit. But once she got a good look at his face and the hat he was wearing on top of his head, her eyes widened in shock.

"(f-f/n)?" He asked in bewilderment, taking a step towards her (f/n). "Holy crap, it really is you!"

"Wait, you two know eachother?" (best friend's name) asked in shock, and Mikuni grabbed (f/n) by the shoulders and hugged her tightly.

"Hell yeah, (f/n) was my best friend when we were little kids!" Mikuni replied, and (f/n) slowly hugged him back, inhaling the scent of...well, Mikuni.

"I told you I would come back for you, didn't I?"
