IT HAD been five days since Kol and Ariel came to Denver, that was also five days Jeremy had spent with the couple. Kol started to get annoyed with Jeremy being by their side every minute since he wanted to spend time with Ariel, but he would never leave. He was happy people from Mystic Falls were here; he was starting to get very homesick.

"Lets go to the batting cages today," Jeremy announced as he sat on the couch between them.

Ariel looked over at Kol who tried his best to contain his anger. "Yeah, sure Jer. We'll meet you there."

He nodded okay and exited the house to go back home and get his batting gear. Kol sighed in relief and scooted back next to Ariel. "Thank the lord."

"He's just lonely here," she turned towards the brunette and kissed his cheek. "I feel bad for him; the only reason he's in Denver is because Elena made Damon compel him to leave."

The two sat around for a while before going to the batting cages. Kol was going to suck it up and hang out with Jeremy while Ariel would watch. When they got there, Kol picked out a wooden bat and they walked to where the batting cages were.

Kol stopped Ariel right when they were about to walk around the corner. "What is it?"

He shushed her and quietly turned towards her. "Damon and Elena are here. I want you to stay right here until I deal with them."

Ariel nodded and watched as he made his way around the corner. All she heard was sounds at first, but then it became quiet. She peaked her head around the corner and saw Kol lying on the ground with wood shoved into him. She then caught the eyes of Jeremy who looked back for a second. Ariel silently pleaded for him not to say anything; he nodded and walked away with Elena and Damon.

"Assholes," Ariel grumbled as she pulled the wood out of Kol. She healed him quickly and he woke up with a gasp.

"I'll kill them," he muttered. Kol leaned all of his weight on Ariel as he still was a little weak. "We have to go kill Mary."

Ariel helped Kol stand up and they began to walk to the car. "Who's Mary?"

Kol waited until they were both in the car and Ariel began driving to explain. "The real reason I wanted to come to Denver was so I could find and kill Mary. She's part of the sire line to Rose and then Katherine. They want to kill us Ariel. Those 'friends' in Mystic Falls are targeting us. If they find out who killed Mary, then we're screwed. If I get to her first however, it's a win-win."

They looked for a couple hours until Kol finally found the place where Mary lived. They went inside and found her upstairs. Kol wanted to get this done as quick as possible, so he grabbed a stake and went to kill her.

Ariel grabbed it from him, "I got this." Kol tried to stop her, but she rammed it into Mary's chest as her screams filled the house. Ariel's strength was so strong that when she let go, Mary was pinned against the wall.

"That was quite sexy - in a weird way - but still sexy," Kol chuckled as he grabbed the aluminum bat and sat down in the chair. "When I turn the lights on, come out. I know Damon and Elena will be here soon."
