"YOU DID what?" Ariel practically yelled over the phone.

Rebekah sighed, "I slept with Stefan, big whoop. We were hurt and desperate; needed to get over it. Plus, he's very hard to resist."

Ariel mentally agreed with that, but when she looked up she saw Kol coming out of the shower with only a towel around his waist. She immediately took back what she said about Stefan. "I gotta go, it's hard to resist you brother after all."

"Ew. Spare the details." Rebekah hung up before Ariel could say anything else.

Ariel walked up to Kol and wrapped her arms around his damp waist as he fixed his hair in the mirror. "I think it's time you cut your hair."

"You don't like it?" Kol frowned as he combed it back. "It seemed like it when you were tugging it–"

Ariel slapped him in his chest and walked back to the bed. She sat on it and Kol came back and put on his clothes. "Let's get away."

"Where to?" The angel perked her head up at the idea of leaving this dreadful place. "I'll go anywhere with you."

Kol leaned down in front of her and grabbed her hands. "Anywhere in the world, I'll take you."

"Paris it is."

Two suitcases were fully packed with clothes and girl products for the angel. They were catching a flight tonight; three more hours until they both could live their lives together.

"Ariel open the door!" Matt's voice yelled from downstairs.

Ariel was quick down the steps as she ran to the door and opened it. Matt's face was all red and sweaty as he tumbled inside. "Are you okay?"

"I just ran from Elena's house," he breathed out. "Jeremy – Elena – they're...they're going to kill Kol."

Her eyes shined a bright blue as Matt mentioned something about Kol dying. She clenched her fists and mumbled, "I'll kill that Gilbert girl right away–"

"It wasn't her idea," Matt cut her off. "It was Jeremy's."

In that moment, she felt betrayed. Her best friend, the guy who was always there for her, decided to kill the man she loved. "Out of jealousy. Jeremy wants to kill Kol out of jealousy!"

"Why? What happened?" Matt asked.

"Jer kissed me last night," she began to explain. "I told him I loved Kol, and he got all angry at me."

Ariel ran to the door, but Matt stopped her before she left. "Be careful, okay? Jeremy's out of control right now and will do anything to kill Kol; he'll kill you."

She nodded and gulped as she used her speed to get to the Gilbert's house. Even though it took a second, it felt like a million years to get there. The thought of losing Kol was unbearable and she wouldn't know how to live with herself if that were to happen. Ariel brought out the good in Kol, and he brought out the reckless side in her. Ariel was done playing by the rules of the angels and she wanted to have fun.
