"WHY AM I going to the Mystic Grill again?" Kol groaned over the phone. "I'd rather be kissing my girlfriend who I haven't seen in multiple weeks."

"Because I want you to spend the day with Matt. I feel like it's important for you two to be best friends. You guys are the most important men in my life and I don't need them to be fighting," Ariel told him.

Kol scoffed, "When's the last time we fought?"

"Last night when you yelled at Matt because he accidentally spilt wine on my white shirt," The angel couldn't help but laugh a little at the memory. Kol had made such a big deal out of it, which caused Matt to get all pissy.

It was silent on the other line, before Kol spoke again. "I'm really trying not to hate you right now, but I'll spend the afternoon with him. You're lucky I love you."

"And I love you too," She smiled as her plan actually worked. "Just call me if you need me to come up there with you. Now go have fun with Matt."

She hung up before Kol could try and come up with another excuse for not hanging out with the human. After doing a couple of chores around the house, Ariel's phone rang.

"Hello?" She answered.

It was Tyler. "Come to my house; it's about Kol, Matt, and Jeremy."

Never in her life was Ariel so fast to one place. She used her powers to teleport herself to Tyler's house in a matter of seconds. Once she got there, she saw Elena and Damon with Tyler. Although she wasn't fond of them, they all needed to work together with whatever the hell was going on.

"Read this," Damon gave Ariel his phone and she read the message.

Hunter at Mystic Grill with hostages. They all die at sundown.

Ariel slowly gave the phone back to the raven-haired vampire as her mind started to race. She could lose everyone she cares about tonight. Connor will definitely find out Kol is vampire and either a) kill him or b) hopefully show mercy and vervain him.

Kol are you okay? Ariel reached out to him in her mind. When Kol was in the coffin, this is the way they communicated.

I'm still alive, yes, but Connor found out I'm a vampire. He was about to kill me, but Matt convinced him not to; saying he was of value to you. So, he vervained me and tied me up to a chair. Get with others to try and save us, do not come alone.

"I propose a plan," Damon announced, causing Ariel to pay attention to him. "So we each take a different entrance, hit him at the same time."

Stefan came running through the doorway at that moment. Elena stood up quickly, "Stefan!"

"Where the hell have you been?" Damon asks his brother.

Ariel watched as Elena hugged Stefan; she was so worried about him and he had finally showed himself. The angel admired their chemistry and the way they looked out for each other. They were good together.
