Also, I recommend listening to Give Me Love when the dance starts because I did and it makes me think that Ariel was actually there dancing. I have the music up on the top!

THE DOORBELL dinged throughout the Donovan household as Matt went to go see who it was. When he opened the door however, no one was there. There was a card on the door mat and he picked it up. The front read, For Ariel. "Ariel, come down here!"

She was there in a couple seconds as Matt handed her the card. "Please join the Mikaelson family this evening at seven clock; for dancing, cocktails, and celebration. I wonder who dropped this off."

"Look on the back," Matt said as he saw scribbling on the back.

She turned it around and read aloud, "First time dancing with an angel, hope I don't disappoint you xx –Kol."

Matt groaned, "This dude is obsessed over you."

"It's our bond Matt, we honestly can't be separated for long," Ariel smiled as she read Kol's side note over and over again.

"Well, I have to go to work. You good here?" Ariel nodded and Matt kissed her cheek before leaving the house.

Ten minutes later she got a phone call from Rebekah saying she was going to pick her up to take her to The Grill. There, she was going to help Rebekah pass out invitations to the Mikaelson ball tonight. Once Rebekah picked her up, they started making conversation.

"Kol can literally not stop talking about you!" The blonde exclaimed as she drove. "I definitely think it's something more than the bond."

Ariel laughed. "There's nothing more between us; I just need to protect him. My life before his."

"I wish I had someone who cared that way for me," Rebekah sighed.

Ariel smirked as she remembered a couple conversations her and Matt had a day or two ago. "You have Matt."

"He'd rather have me dead," She mumbled.

"No he wouldn't," The angel shook her head. "He cares about you, it's just he doesn't want to admit it because you're an Original vampire. He's in denial; I know him more than anyone."

Rebekah smiled at the thought of Matt actually liking her. She then had higher hopes that her invitation to him would indeed come in handy. When Ariel and Rebekah arrived at The Grill, they saw Caroline and Elena there as well.

"Careful Caroline, it's all when and good till she stabs you in the back," Rebekah said walking up to the two. "That's why I have my new best friend; Ariel."

"What are you doing here?" Elena asks. "I know your mom's rules. No hurting the locals."

Rebekah rolled her eyes, "Get over yourself, Elena. It's not all about you."

She left, but Ariel stayed behind. "Sorry about her, she gets moody a lot."

"Ugh, it's fine," Elena sighed.

Caroline's eyes widened as she spotted Rebekah giving Matt an invitation. "Oh my god. She's inviting him to the ball, why is she inviting him?"

Ariel smiled at the two. "Because they're so into each other."

Caroline scoffed and finally made up her mind if she was going to the ball or not. "What time is this stupid dance?"
