I nearly went insane wondering if I should put the chips in a bowl or if I should offer the whole bag.
Bag. I decided.
It probably is more hygienic.
He should think everything I do is spontaneous and that I haven't planned anything.
Despite the happiness I still was a bit depressed.
The feeling hasn't gone away and I was insecure.
I shook my body and then realized how cold I was standing in my cold kitchen with only wearing boxershorts.
I ran into the bedroom and changed into skinny jeans and a comfortable flannel.
The mirror showed me a beautiful, happy Mitchell and I was even more ready.

It rang.
Ok, now calm down. Breath. Look causal.
I grabbed the doorknob and opened the door.
"Hey!", I smiled bright and confident.
"Hey!", he answered shy.
"Come in, I guess?", I stepped back and made a inviting gesture.
He stepped in curious looking around in my flat soaking in every detail. Like I did.
"Do you like it?", I turned around speaking to him while walking backwards.
"Y-yes, I like it a lot! It's beautiful! Suits you!", he sounded stunned even though my equipment isn't that special.
"You look beautiful too! The flannel is cute", Scott tugged my sleeve and I blushed.
"Thank you"
We by now arrived at the couch and we sat down looking into each other's eyes for a long time.
"D-do you like something to eat or drink?"
"What do you have?"
"Anything you want, I can give it to you!", oh god that sounded so wrong, "I-I mean-"
He interrupted me with a loud laughter: "It's okay!" He was red. And I calmed down seeing I wasn't the only one blushing.
"I'll bring you some chips and coke, okay?"
He nodded and as I walked away I felt his eyes staring at me until I disappeared around the corner to get the chips and fill up a glass of coke.
When I returned he immediately looked at me scanning my body.
Did he really think I wouldn't notice?
I couldn't help but grinn.
"Here you go", I gave him both things.
"I feel bad opening the new bag, don't you have an already opened one?", he seemed a bit embarrassed.
"Uhm, I don't! I usually don't eat this kind of food"
"So you bought it for me?", now he was the one who grinned and I was clueless what to answer.
"I-I... yes, I did!", I admitted sighing.
"Oh, that's... nice", it was obvious he didn't expect that answer.
Scott slowly opened the chips and began eating them carefully.
I stared at him the whole time. Watching him shoving one chip after another into his mouth.
As I watched him I suddenly got collywobbles.
Scott seemed so innocent and adorable.
But what did he hide about his personality?
Did he even hide anything?
Why did I still have those thoughts?

I sank into my thoughts wondering what do to when a voice interrupted me: "Mitchy? Mitchy? Are you present? What's the problem? You zone a lot lately", in the beginning he laughed a little bit but in the end he sounded worried.
Zoned out?
"No, I'm okay, I've just... been thinking about a lot in the last time!"
"Are you sure everything is alright? You look unhappy!"
"I am! And I don't want to seem unhappy it's just... Kirstie always says... whatever! It doesn't matter!", I faked a smile.
"No! Tell me, now! Only if you want to of course but I hope you know that you can tell me everything, right?"
He jumped nearer to me and laid his hands on my thighs.
I shivered while looking directly into his friendly eyes.
"Ok... Kirstie keeps saying that you.. you are a total... fuckboy", I whispered the last word then holded my breath.
"What does she say?!", he said loudly.
"I-I'm sorry", I whispered again.
"No, don't be sorry! I just can't understand why she says that! Why would she even know? This is so rude!", he was mad.
"She said you two visited the same highschool and she... noticed things?", I was rueful afraid he would hate me now.
"That's true! We were at the same school... but it still is so fucking rude! I'm sorry she tells you those stupid things" He backed up and sat on the other end of the couch burrying his face into his hands.
The happy atmosphere suddenly turned into a super awkward silence.
Noone said anything. The only thing you could hear was the ticking of my clock.
Who and what should say something first?
This was terrible and again it's my fault!
I always have to say wrong things in wrong situations.
I wanted to escape this! What should I do?!
"Scott?"
"Yes?", he looked up.
"C-Can I take a shower please? I need it now"
"Of course you can! It's your home, don't ask me to do anything!", he smiled slightly at me.
I nodded and walked to the bathroom.
I quickly undressed and stepped into the shower letting the hot water float over my body.
It felt good and calmed me down.
My guts relaxed and all my cramps and the awkwardness were washed away.
I wanted to grab the shampoo and began walking to the other side of the bathtub to the small chest with all of my shampoos and lotions.
Half way through I suddenly stepped on a piece of soap.
I grabbed onto the curtain but couldn't prevent to fall!
