*Flashback*
I pulled my bike to a nearby tree, somewhere I felt it would be safe.

Once I propped it against the tree, I took the gift out of my bag to put it on the table full of gifts.

No.

As I walked around the tree I noticed another bike propped on the same tree.

Black with a single red stripe and a light attached to the front.

I remember the day Craig got that bike. He was jealous of my bike because it had a large light attached to the front so it was easy for me to ride at night during the summers.

I sat with him all day, watching his dad attach the light and repair the chain after he found it in a dumpster.

We road for hours that night.

I felt my hands start to shake as I continued to stare at the bike.

Craig is here too?

I carried my present to the table and stood off to the side a little.
There were about twenty people here, this is one of the biggest parties I've ever been to.

Almost instantly I could hear Craig's voice but I couldn't see him.
Will he be mad when he knows I'm here?

I keep looking for Jonny but I can't see him, would he be late for his own party?
I eyed each kid, trying to find Jonny, I can't see Craig either.

I don't know anyone here.

No one else seems to care where Jonny is.
"Have you seen Jonny?" I asked the next boy who passed by.

The boy stopped and looked at me, smiling a bit. I could tell he was friendly.
"I think I saw him go a little into the woods with one of his friends. I think he's showing him a cool spot or something" the boy spoke gently, looking towards the woods he mentioned.
"Thank you for coming to Jonny's party, he's my brother" the boy spoke again, making me notice that he is a few years older than us.

"Thank you" I said, not knowing what to reply with. He nodded and went on towards a group of some other boys.

Is Craig the friend that went with him?
I started towards the woods, afraid of what Craig might say if it really was him with him.

I need to personally tell Jonny happy birthday. I always do, it's important to me that he knows that I care.

I could hear the slight crunching under my feet as I stepped on leaves and twigs, if Craig is with him, I know where he took him.

Craig went through a phase where he loved to carve things out of sticks.
He got a new pocket knife and would spend hours in the woods carving into sticks.
He carved a basic triangle for me once, I thought it was so cool at the time, he carved his initials in it and gave it to me.
I still have it.

I got a little further into the woods and finally saw them in the distance, Jonny had a bright blue shirt on that was easy to notice, they were sitting on a fallen tree.

I took a few more steps forward, surprised that they didn't notice me yet since it made a lot of noise when I walked.

I kept walking towards them.

Suddenly I saw Craig turn his head to look at Jonny, but not enough to see me.

Craig leaned forward and it took me about ten seconds to notice that they were kissing.

Kissing?
What?

I felt my heartbeat get a little faster. What if they see me? I was frozen still.
