elloooo! this is where the girls come in! it really has nothing to do with brian and his problems... but it will soon. ENJOY! XD

(Megan's POV)

I tapped my pen on my knee as I tried to come up with a beat.

I bobbed my head.

"Hmmmmmm, hmm hmmmm," I hummed. I created a guitar riff. I took out a tab sheet and my guitar and figured out how to play the riff. 10, 7, 0, 7, 8, 7-

Knock knock knock.

I grinned and ran out of my room and down the stairs.

The beginning of summer was here. My parents were gone and my band was staying here until my parents got back, and my parents had no idea.

I opened the door and revealed my friends standing on my doorstep. I grinned again. "Uhh, aren't you gonna let us in?" Mery said.

I stepped out of the way.

They shuffled in, struggling to carry their bags and instruments.

Mery, Katie, and Maddie headed straight for the basement, probably to practice, dropping things now and then.

Charles was last, and she was having a really hard time getting all her drums into the house.

She had to keep making trips back to the van to get everything in. On her last trip inside, she was carrying her drumsticks and her bass pedal and she said, "Oh, yeah, I'm fine, I don't need any help."

I chuckled and followed her downstairs.

When we got down, everyone was already getting their equipment set up, and conversating the band.

Maddie pulled out a piece of paper.

"Here, tell me what you think" she said to Katie. Maddie handed the paper to Katie and she stared at her until she gave it back.

"It's cool, deep concepts. Love it. You got a melody for it yet?" Maddie asked. Katie shrugged. "Sort of, my-"

Katie was interrupted by the screech of amplifier feedback coming from me.

Everyone's hands shot up to their ears and they flinched.

I laughed. "Sorry," I said.

I leaned my guitar against my awesome new Peavey amp and went to help Charlotte put together her drumset.

I sat down next to her and watched her furiously attatch her pedal to the bass drum. "Uhhh," I started.

She sighed and threw her hands in the air. "I give up!" She said. "Do you need to talk, Charles? You're acting a bit off..."

"Nahh, it's nothing. Just Alex again-"

"What did he do now?" I interrupted.

"N-nothing, just, let's forget him and focus on our band and having a good time this summer, okay?" She said quietly. I wanted to talk to her about it but I decided it would be best if it was dismissed for now.

I gave her a sympathetic look and stood up. "Hey!" I shouted over the commotion of everybody. I grabbed one of Maddie's microphones and said in a voice, "Now, ladies and gentlemen, Death's Charity Case performing live, their song Aura of Revenge!!"

We got our instruments out and Maddie started playing the beginning keyboard part. I smiled as she sang and play, waiting for everyone else to come in. This was my first song I wrote by myself, I was 13.

"Listen to the thoughts in my head,

You have underestimated me.

I have undergone a dream." She sang and played the keyboard.
